If you haven't used the Bowl Lift style mixers before, definitely go check it out in store before purchasing. It's a lot harder to add ingredients and things since the top doesn't tile. I know tons of baker people who went from the Tilt Head style to the this style and then returned it and went back because the tilting ones are much easier to use as far as placing the bowl, adding ingredients while it's running, taking off and on the beater attachments, etc.

This is a pretty good price, right? And it's one of the best Kitchenaid stand mixers? If so, what's the cheapest way to join Costco or otherwise get in on this deal? My wife has been wanting a Kitchenaid and I've been waiting for a deal for a couple months already.

you can have someone buy you a costco gift card or just go with someone who shops there. last time these were on sale i happened to get the very last one, people went rabid for these.

if you get a costco membership and the credit card you will probably recoup enough in cash back to make it worth while.

We have this model for maybe 8 years now or maybe more. We fixed the motor 1 time and it is till running strong to this day. We are thinking to buy this one to replace out old one. We also have the commercial 20QT but different brand. For small work we are using this mixer. Highly recommended
