  • Tryouts are a mess, and Greg is sure he won't make the cut. But he unexpectedly lands a spot on the worst team.

Last year, when I worked Target Fulfillment, some kids book release included a target-exclusive poster. Some of the books had the poster bonuses, some did not. Since online orders pick products right off of store floors, online customers dont have a say in getting the neat bonuses. So what I would do is always grab the poster ones for online orders, out of spite for the a-holes coming into the store during the worst months of this covid pandemic.

Beauty and health products with bonuses attached; online orders getting it.
Dented box for coffee maker? Nono that stays while I reach in the back for the pristine one.
That single beautiful bag of grapes? You bet that's going to the pickup customers.

This was my little revenge upon society and the franchise that refused to close when several employees and management acquired covid.

Well that's annoying. Speaking as someone who wants to see that the thing I buy is not in shitty condition and if it was would be immediately returned, in store, for another person to touch/be off the floor for multiple days for no reason so I can immediately go in and get one that wasn't shitty.

Aren't these technically the worst months?

If you live in MA, the author use to do reading and signing at independent bookshops. Some of them still have signed copies for shipping, "An Unlikely Story" is one.

Only two ways. Either you need to use your Target RedCard (Debit or Credit works) if you have one, or your order total needs to be over $35.

Jeff Kinney (Diary of a Wimpy Kid author) owns An Unlikely Story bookstore so you can easily get signed Wimpy Kid books there too

In this case it ends up being 25% off the cost of the book less the $5 gift card ($10.49-$5 = $5.49 *25%), so you may only save an additional $1.37. Still a good deal to stack and makes it slicker but it's not 25% off the $10.49 sale price.
