I can't believe this is so cheap already! What a great deal. I've had a lot of fun playing this. It's not as nice looking on the switch as it is for Xbox, but it plays well. I'm not sure if they'll update the other versions to allow for offline play, but for now this is the only version you'd be able to play if the servers go down.

Highly recommend you open any video game system intended as a gift in advance and get it set up. The system will need to be updated, accounts set up, games need to be installed and updated, and you can charge it up. Otherwise your kid will spend half the day trying to figure this stuff out on their own. A recent Fortnite update on the Switch took 25 mins to download and install. You can always repackage everything after getting it set up.

The only reason physical is better than digital is if you plan on reselling it after you're done playing it. Given how much this game has dropped since it launched a few months ago I would think you'd get a little to nothing back when you try to sell it. So return and buy digital.

I mean maybe that's the only reason for you personally, but other people may have myriad other reasons they'd prefer physical over digital.

This complete edition features all of the festivals and DLC previously released on other platforms. The one PS+ subscribers got for free recently is the base game.

Sadly, the Switch version is stuck at 30 fps and only 720p handheld and 900p docked. It still plays ok, but when compared to PC/PS4/Xbox it's clearly slower and more blurry (60fps, 1080p/4k)

My 6yo doesn't seem to care how it plays on Switch, but we only play together on the PS4 cause I can't stand the downgrade. Oh, and all the systems have offline available.

Lol my kid is 6 too so I doubt he'll notice. But I'm sure he'll love the extra DLC. How do you guys play together on ps4?
