A tablet is one thing that should be big it's like a smaller pc.

I just want a comparable replacement for my aging Tab S2 8.0

Doesn't have to be high end, but having an OLED screen has gotten me spoiled.

Not happening because it would cannibalize sales of flagship phones. If a $200-300 tablet does most of what $1000 phone can do, no one would buy the phone.

Good point. I went from Nexus 7 to Nexus 7 2013 to Tab S2 9.7 to Tab S6 to Tab S7+, but still miss the Nexus 7 2013's size.

Yes, nexus 7 is the last great small tablet. I do miss my nexus 7 as well. Still waiting for xiao mi to release mi pad 5 in 8 inch as they did release mi pad 4 in 8 inch…

The app doesn't allow like/dislike.

For me, screen type doesn't matter as much as resolution and performance does to me. I want it for gaming.

I think we're talking about high-end small tablets here, not $200-$300 tablets. And Apple sells high-spec small tablets (iPad Mini) so your premise seems to be false.

Based on performance, I would rather spend a little less and get the Fire HD10 (must do) and do the XDA Amazon Tool Box thing to unlock a pure android experience.

I have a 8" and a 10.1" tablet, I almost never use my 8".

What is better is IMHO, security updates and going all the way to Android 11 (don't know if it is their yet).
