Wow..i did not know there was wind outside...that would hamper playing badminton....i have played badminton outside on numerous occasions ....
FYI - not good if you want an official size pickleball net, which should be 22 feet (although 20 foot might work to just cover the width of the court. Largest here is 17 feet.
I cannot really see this surviving a volleyball of any weight (or soccer as in pics). Might be fine for badminton or pickle.

Just off the top of my head, you could put the legs up on saw-horses to gain a couple feet. (one per side.) That said, you probably wouldn't want to secure it to the saw-horses as it looks like a lot of this thing's "durability" comes from the fact that it can move after a significant impact. So the height-hack may come with a lot of setting it back up after it falls off the saw horses.

I'd also use lightweight saw horses like the plastic Harbor Freight ones. If someone gets a little over-zealous and loses their footing, it's probably a lot more comfortable to take out a plastic saw-horse with your forehead than a 2x4 constructed saw-horse.

It's funny how easy it is to see the future once you become a parent.

Ooh. I just thought, perhaps a PVC pipe of adequate diameter to cover the existing verticals, then a reducing coupler to attach a thinner PVC pipe to accommodate the net. Again, you will reduce the durability by a good bit as well as increase storage space and hell... after all that work you could probably just build your own and skip this kit.

After all that rambling I think I'll get this. Our badminton net broke a while back.
PVC extender was the first thing to try - the smallest pvc pipe is slightly too small - one can try to file down the thickness but that may or may not work - and it would weaken the pvc structure to point of most likely breaking if the net took a hard blow. the best I can think of is pole lash the pvc pipe - but this is burdensome for something that claims one or two minutes of take down or set up.

the other option is raise the base - however the base is extremely large. saw horses or similar setup will get the entire structure knocked off the base instantly. this method is too dangerous for kids to be around.

looked at a bunch of similar nets on amazon and it seems like they all have the same design (frame) - only difference is the net logo. furthermore the price dropped to probably match the below? can anyone confirm?

for example:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JVCM...ct_details

deal is still active

The one you found looks better on spec than the item in this deal

had a heck of a time getting the discount applied directly. 29.99 for the 17 seems ok but the max height of 5' means no volleyball, badminton only... meh. good find though OP

As a father of two girls that just turned 11&12 I have tried many different soccer goals, badminton nets, and so forth and yes this may fall over yes I'm willing to pick it up rather then choosing to put 6 stake6 in the concrete ground in AZ but I believe this is a reasonable thing for $30 that I simply cannot pass up if it doesn't work you can return it I love Amazon but I have a good feeling because I'm in Arizona and it's just now getting where you can go outside and it's not 90° to 110° anymore so I haven't tried this but I have tried the other cheap nets and I can say it's a big pain in the butt hammering stakes in an hour every time I much rather just pick up the goal if someone hits a volleyball into it and I know it's not certified height however I believe it's a great way to show younger kids some skills and rules on how they can play the game on the big field in a couple years thank you original poster and I guess I was just trying to make the point that the ones that stay down that you get on Amazon for twice as much aren't exactly high quality so unless you're going to spend $300 this seems like a really good bargain- also pool volleyball!!! AWSOME

I see $20 off the 10' and 14' versions, but no coupons for the 17' version (even under the 'New and Used' link). Am I missing it somewhere or or is it dead for the 17' version?

Badminton players have the highest use of steroids as a percentage of participants.
