The prime tx models technically have the same amount of 8pin (6+2) connectors but the difference is each 6+2 8 pin has it's own cable. 4 for 750, 6 for 850.
This is arguably a better configuration. Especially if you're mining and using splitters the separate cables are better. On the other hand, for cable management 2x cables can be a benefit

That said, better quality PSUs probably many of the 80+ gold / platinum ones may have various techniques built into them
to improve efficiency across idle / standby, light, medium, and heavy loads. Some PSUs even turn off their fan at light loads.
That said I don't know if I'd be particularly concerned about a fanless PSU for a NAS, whether it is passively cooled (fine provisionally) or
has a fan that simply shuts off in standly / idle / low loads any of those should be fine for longevity / noise etc. assuming it is a quality PSU.
If I was designing the NAS, though, I'd want the actual enclosure fan(s) to be able to well cool / ventilate the storage drives & electronics,
and for those NAS fans to go from off at idle / standby / sleep / low loads to high if needed and to be high reliability / low noise types.
So if you want to see the efficiency at idle / low loads download the PSU specification sheet or look for the efficiency vs. power output curves on the
manufacturer's web site and correlate that with the idle / standby, low load, and full load ACTUAL power consumption of your NAS to see where you will be operating on the efficiency curve.
Most NASs for consumer use will be basically asleep / idle like 90% of the time between your sleeping hours, working hours, doing other stuff hours, etc.
so mainly I'd go for zero fan rotation at idle / sleep / low loads, adequate cooling under max load, and PSU efficiency at idle / low loads like in the
75% to 95% range while keeping like 80% or so at max load. I hope many of the gold / platinum etc. PSUs will do that since even more powerful desktop PCs
spend a lot of time in sleep / idle mode so low load efficiency is important there, too.
