No longer purchase tires from Walmart because of poor performance. Multiple belts breaking and sidewall bubbles caused me to seek a different source for tires. Sure many people have had good experiences with Wally world tires but for me it's a major pass.

Dropped Goodyear for Michelin and have been extremely happy with performance.
It's all about price difference.

I usually get the cheapest tires since they wear out anyway. Before, I used to buy the expensive ones, but they did the same thing my cheap tires do.

I want to buy only two new tires to replace my worn out front tires but I read online that it's better to put new tires in the rear. Will walmart rotate my front tires for free with this deal?
If it's a rear wheel drive vehicle put new on the back if you want the most forward traction, but anything fwd or awd put the new in the front to give your steering and front stopping the best grip. I'm an auto tech.

I'd be careful about replacing only two tires on a full time AWD vehicle.

Can anyone recommend (or not recommend) the Goodyear Reliants?
We just put a set on DW's '09 Corolla. They seem the same as the Viva 3s that were on there.

Most auto stuffs from Mexico are not very good if kept for a long time, possibly due to skill level and quality control. They are made in Mexico for only one reason...cheap. I keep the tires for 7-10 years, so I look for made in USA, Japan, Thailand, and South Korea. The Kumho Solus 11 tires are quiet and should last 75K-80K under moderate driving condition.

The big discount stores will occasionally sell Sumitomo tires cheap. Always put good tires on the drive axle to provide the best traction (front for FWD and rear for RWD). If you have an AWD car, then replace all four tires. Otherwise, the computer will put excessive strain on the transmission because all four wheels are not rotating at the same speed when driving straight ahead.

FWIW - not really relevant but I had Goodyear's and they did OK but weren't spectacular. Now I went from continental to firestone and I hate it. Never buying firestone over continental - so loud and made driving rough.

One thing to consider is the "local" current price of the tire you are considering vs the "save $20" line Walmart is quoting. For my Escape the current local Walmart price of the Goodyear Wrangler 235/70/16 is $103, so only a $9 saving per tire instead of $20. The added free balance & installation is nice so I will buy the 1 tire I currently need for winter.

Anyone aware if Walmart can install tires on a camper/travel trailer?

The big discount is the mounting. If you buy a set of these even if the tire price is comparable to other places you will save $100 or more with the free installation.
