Probably - if you can remove it with a wire brush, this will do it faster and harder. As with any time you use a grinder, make sure to wear eye protection with side shields, and I like to wear long sleeves.

I've used this to restore some weights that had rust. Definitely use a mask and eye protection. It can get very dusty

I bought two for $3.37 each in October 2019 (thanks, Slickdeals!), but $5.42 is one cent more than the cheapest it's been in the past year, per CCC.

I am about to buy it; then Amazon shows that I purchased 1 in Oct 2019 for $3.37. So I have 1 somewhere and never used and probably never going to be found.

Unless you have a need for it, I lost $3.37 due to Slickdeals.
