It's not terrible if it's not in a bright room and wide viewing angles are desirable. There are plenty of applications for "cheap" big IPS tvs like this.

You probably don't want it for your main living room or theater TV, but nice for a game room or basement where people are generally doing something other than sitting directly in front of the TV.
