Same deal had 75 thumbs up two weeks ago. Yea it's closer to BF but at $16.67 /TB this is lower than we have been used to for the past 6 months.

Good point about Black Friday. We can expect competitive deals around then. Plus, it's a little odd that this deal was run like only a month ago... I why why Newegg is running the exact same one again so soon.

it this better than the upcoming costco 8tb drive. i know the costco is lower in price per tb. but is this a better or more reliable drive inside. im planning to schuck it.

My guess is that production is back up and they're selling them at "good" prices now while they can, before the glut in supply brings the price down to the "right" prices.

Personally, this isn't a deal. I'll eat my hat if the 14TB drives aren't $200 or less at or before BF/CM.

It will state on their site if it's BF price protected. It's not, so they may not want to honor their return policy. I've had their reps ignore me on a return before. So I don't have much confidence in them.
