You should know that Plaid, Yoodle and companies like them scrape your personal bank account information using your username + password, and then they will use that for their own data mining purposes --- in addition to providing the data to the requesting company as part of their service.
- In this case they are obtaining all your bank transactions over 365 Days and your balance to make it available to Green Dot bank.
- they will maintain this access until you change your Funding Bank account password.
The only way to stop Plaid and Yoodle from harvesting your personal and financial information after you've used any "login to verify your bank" services is by changing your Bank password.
NOTE: Plaid/Yoodle etc can gain access to all your banking information, including mortgages, loans, credit cards etc. as they login to your account pretending to be you and scrape data that your bank may present to you on your bank home page. While in this case scope is limited to your transactions over 365 days and balances, other companies may try to extract as much information as possible about your finances, without you knowing.

Since they have no other funding source option (w/o turning over my entire finances to this no-name bank, or incurring a $25 wire deposit fee) it seems like I'll have to pass on the deal.

I sent them nothing they couldn't get off the state's business registry, but won't send them anything else. Seems suspect.
The $300 won't hit the account for 90 days.
I changed my password for online banking after reading the post about how Plaid works, and now every day since then I've gotten a security alert email saying that access to my account was attempted with an invalid password.
It's always around 11AM.
I found on the Plaid site that you can fill out this form to try and delete your info:

They also have a portal called my.plaid.com where you can sign up and see what accounts are linked and delete your bank account. I did and I hope this stops the login attempts.

These companies won't like losing access to your financial data (via changing your Bank password) -- they prefer being able to siphon off your financial transaction data for as long as possible once an account link is established from any of their clients.
Let us know if you stop seeing login activity on your bank account with your old password, or if Yodlee responds to your request.
I'd posted that info on Plaid/Yodlee sometime back. This bank uses Yodlee, which is a competitor to Plaid (the dominant vendor in this space), so you'll need to still do something similar with Yodlee [yodlee.com]. It appears you will need to file a deletion request via this Form [yodlee.com]
I sent in the Plaid 'delete data' form yesterday and they didn't require that.
