Yeah the reviews about poor quality and the locking mechanism not working is a little concerning, kept me from pulling the trigger.
ETA: would appreciate recs for a sturdy zero gravity chair! last ones we got from Walmart held up a couple years and now are falling apart.

Maybe something from Costco like this... Try to cross reference the brand to Amazon to see if you can find any reviews. It's like $100 though

If you search Amazon for zero gravity chair you'll find many listings of this exact product under different Chinese generic name brands. Reviews indicate middling quality, and a chair that's too small for anybody over 5ft 10.
