It's complicated. The Tiger Lake i5s (11th gen mobile) do better with single-core tasks (most everyday things), but they're 4-core processors, vs. 6 cores for the Ryzen, so for anything multi-threaded (heavier workloads), the Ryzen wins.

Intel's new Xe graphics have also closed the gap significantly over the Radeon Vega graphics in the Ryzen and can beat AMD some of the times; the Ryzen's graphics still have a slight lead though overall, though.

I'd personally go with the Ryzen, esp. if you ever plan to do some light gaming, but they're reasonably close.

(This is applicable only for 11th gen Tiger Lake; 10th gen Ice Lake or earlier are a lot worse. And the upcoming 12th gen Alder Lake is a lot better.)

Screen is very average at best on this and I had a Yoga 3 with hinge issue . I have heard Lenovo hinge issues form others but may be I was out of luck or thqt specific series. Considering price still good deal for light multi tasking and productivity.

goto dell laptop deals and search for 5500 and 5700. I got both of these when on sale and they are fantastic.

Intel 1135g7 and this one are in the same class not that kuch of a difference. 5500u a little slower in applications which use one or 2 cores like browsers, but a little better at multiple application running at same time. GPU is comparable too. If you want something in different class for heavy users go for H series with adequate cooling
