Does not seem hackable as there is no option for a free tool, at least when I try. Unless you need one of these right away, multi-tool deals are a better bet.

Yes, there are pruning blades that will melt through any limbs. The more compact one-handed reciprocating saw might be a better bet for clearing the limbs by your treestand, though.

Absolutely. Wood blades will work okay and there are purpose built pruning blades readily available.

Actually this saw fits for your purpose, just search "pruning blade" on homedepot.com, they are what you need.

I simply do not need any multi-tool deals and I have 4 Ryobi batteries already. Is this the best deal I'm going to get on one of these saws? If so, I'll go ahead and pull the trigger.
