As other's have side this was a niche tool designed by Milwaukee to handle more delicate screw driving operations. You don't want your electric screwdriver to be particularly powerful. You want it to be responsive and have a good clutch so you can control it for more precise/delicate driving of screws.

Milwaukee made three electric M12 1/4" hex screwdrivers:

2401-20: this deal; single speed; first screwdriver model released; lightest model; 175lbs of torque; least powerful screwdriver used for very precise work. Many complained that this screwdriver provided too little torque; this model goes on sale a lot

2402-20: 2-speed gearbox brushless (fuel version); heaviest model; 325lbs of torque which many indicated was "too much tool" to be used as a screwdriver

2406-20: 2-speed gearbox; 275lbs of torque; last model released; this model rarely goes on sale; is considered a good hybrid between the precision of 2401 and the power of 2402. From what I've read most consider this the preferred M12 screwdriver to get.

If you have the need for lighter torque precision screw driving operations it's a pretty good tool for what it does and the fact that it comes with two M12 batteries and a charger makes this a pretty good deal.

My favorite tool for precise screw driving jobs is the Worx WX240L
https://www.amazon.com/WORX-WX240...B08FDBVDD8

It's got pretty good torque strength for a 4V rechargable screwdriver. Other pluses are small form factor, uses USB-C for recharging, has torque control (three different settings: level 1 22 inch-lb (2.5 Nm); level 2 37 inch-lb (4.2 Nm); level 3 44 inch-lb (5.0 Nm)), forward and reverse controls, battery level LD, a 2 LED headlight (which could be brighter IMHO), magnetic bit holder and comes is a small carrying case with bits (bit number is dependant on the kit you purchase). Finally you can also use this like a classic screwdriver if you require more manual torque to finish the job.

There are two kits for the Worx screwdriver:
- WX240L (with 12 bits)
- WX240 (with 24 bits)

The WX240 has double the bits vs. the WX240L and is harder to find in the States but you can purchase it from Bangood for $40: https://www.google.com/shopping/p...O4Q9pwGCA0

Sorry to thread highjack but its a great little screwdriver that has many uses and since it has a built in rechargeable battery (18650) you don't need to worry about embracing a tool battery system to use it.

Here's a good vid review of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xai0bR4ujTM
Why do you say that? It has "unrivaled fastening control while 15+1 clutch settings to prevent over-tightening of fasteners. "
Set the clutch right and no worries.
I'm a big fan of this, it's great for things like assembling Ikea furniture. Don't need extra rpms for that

I use this tool every day for work, it has plenty of power, while also having a much better torque setting when light use is needed, unlike the lowest setting on the fuel version, which i also use a lot. I just saw some post about not holding hex bits. I have never had that issue, and like I said, I use this thing every single day.

I prefer my bosch $99 set with the hex hammer driver and standard chuck drill set. It's lighter and has both for strong stuff like driving screws to build, and lighter stuff, even though its two separate devices, sometimes thats nice to have one loaded with the drill bit and the other to drive w/o bit changes. The milwakee feels heavier, slightly bigger, but because its not a hammering driver it isn't as strong. With the bosch I haven't had to pull out anything bigger for almost 2 years now and I build shelving and installed cabinets and other various projects around the house and garden.

I did install an entire roof with the milwakee putting the OSB down, so its not terrible. It may have the advantage of a belt clip vs the bosh does not. I did however get stuck in a bind recently without power and found the M12 batteries quite useful for lighting and charging so if you have other M12 tools, not a terrible pickup.

compatible bits?
This screwdriver uses standard 1/4" bits. You can pretty much grab any set you see in Home Depot or Lowe's in the $10-$15 range and it will be fine for the typical homeowner doing light-duty stuff around the house.

Here's a couple nice sets at HD if you want to buy from the same place as the screwdriver:

This isn't meant for drill driving per say. It's a screwdriver in power drill form so it's main use is for delicate wood working where power is not a necessity. This is perfect for furniture assembly aka IKEA lol.

I love this thing and will reach for it 90% of the time. If I need to drill then I grab my M12 fuel hammer drill😀

The Bosch kit has a drill with normal chuck that has adjustment that does the same thing to be a screw driver and is noticably lighter. You can also use a hex loading bit as well. The battery feels like it lasts longer than the milwakee.

I prefer the hex chuck on this. Makes it easier to change bits one handed if needed, but that's all personal preference. I do agree though the Bosch is lighter.

If you are looking to get into the M12 line or already have this is a good price for this drill.

I've had this driver since 2016. I use it at least a few times a week. The clutch works great from just over finger tight up to all the torque the motor can deliver. I used it daily for the first few years of ownership at work assembling computers, installing network gear and data racks. With a 1/4" shank to socket adapter it drives nuts and bolts perfectly and with a good set of 1/4" shank drill bits will tackle most around the home or light duty drilling. I still have the original two batteries that haven't really degraded in any noticeable way. For a home gamer this combo and a drill / drive bit set (Milwaukee# 48-32-4029) could very well be the only power tool they need. The only downside is you'll probably end up with a lighter wallet and a full arsenal of fantastic M12 tools in a couple years.

I'm praying for the combo deal of this driver + the M12 (non fuel) ratchet to come back... Comes with battery and was $99. Sigh.

why on earth are you using a Screwdriver to put down OSB..? that's even worse than using a normal drill these days. i assume you mean impact driver, when you say "hex hammer driver" for your Bosch... trust me, if you had the M12 fuel impact driver, you'd be singing a far different tune Wink i grab that little guy out of the tool box the majority of the time now over the M18 fuel and Ridgid brushless impact drivers, unless it's really big jobs.

edit:
lol... just noticed your post was 2 months ago and somebody revived the thread Wink

Yes I was using the impact driver. The Bosch also charges faster and noticeably lighter. I am comparing this deal to the Bosch kit because it's similar in price and used for similiar actions. The fuel you mentioned is probably more like $150? I don't doubt it's impressive and strong, sounds like stronger than I would need.
