You can also get a flex drill bit. I used it drill under 4 ft slab. It took 30 mins total to dig, drill Nd pull wires.
They sell extension too if you need to go longer. It has a hole in front to tiE a string

I just finished a project using Volt lights with a Ring transformer... it is way beyond better than solar lights that most people use. Based on the cost of this kit, I'd say its a pretty good price for what you're getting out of it..

As far as waterproof connection caps, I'd recommend these:

Another option is dig a pit 12-18in deep on either side of the sidewalk (recommend use of a tarp to hold soil - would be more difficult w/ a wide driveway), obtain piece of metal conduit long enough to bridge the gap, hammer one end of the conduit flat, input flat end to pit one aimed for the pit on the opposite side, use hammer / sledge to drive through soil, when it reaches the other side use recip-saw to cut off both the flat end and the end that was hammering/driving, pull wire thru conduit. Drink a beer (or whatever your beverage of choice may be) when finished because that is the hardest part of the lighting install. The rest is relatively easy.

Great kit btw. Have this kit - added the 4 spotlight kit from costco as well as two downlight bulbs (porch) and three puck lights (garage door downlights) direct from Volt. I upgraded to a roll of bigger guage landscape wire from home depot as I had some longer runs - used the lighter wire on the puck lights above the garage doors. Very happy with results.

Well you need a transformer of some kind unless you know of another way to get 12V to the lights. I prefer the Ring transformer. It's 200W, cheaper than Volt transformer and connects to Ring where you can do all sorts of cool things... for example turn on and off lights. Of course Ring can turn on and off the lights based on different scenarios. Did I mention that it is also cheaper?
The Volt light fixtures are the best bang for the buck out there. Solid brass and high quality for a medium-low price. Volt customer service is 10/10.

I can see if you want it to be low voltage, but there are plugin versions with 120v, you can chain those together without a transformer and it lights up the same.. right? I dunno..

Sorry I didn't see your reply.. Often the pavement joints in concrete are pretty perfect to put the cable in (clean it out with a screwdriver and put wire in and push it down). Mine are done like that and never poke out in winter or summer. If that is not an option, you can get a small metal conduit and hammer it underneath the concrete.
