Does Floodlight Cam 2 Pro connect to eufyCam HomeBase?

No, Floodlight Cam 2 Pro does not require a HomeBase or hub to work; it connects directly to Wi-Fi. For users who have a eufy HomeBase and would like the Floodlight Cam to save videos on HomeBase, please stay tuned. This feature will be available in the future.
Seems like an empty promise to me. Good luck waiting for decades

I'm chill. But it's ridiculous to expect someone who is posting a deal to predict what features AREN'T important "for many people" and preemptively spare them from the wasted time and effort of making a mouse click.

I suppose if I'm posting a deal for food I have to specify if it is vegan and gluten free and low carb because those things are also important for many people.

For cameras people care if they have local storage or if they require a subscription or if they require a hub or if they work with Alexa or many other things. It's not the OPs job to state what features are missing. And especially not in the title.
This is the TikTok generation. Instead of doing any research themselves, they want everyone else to spoon feed them the info. It's amazing isn't it? SMH LOL

A lot of complaints about consistent motion detection and recording of events. On the up side, a lot of positive reviews from folks who bought the camera unlike the door bell. On a related item, I was thinking of getting the door bell, but most of the reviews on that item were all "freebie" reviews that were mostly positive. It's hard to trust reviews if they are all getting something for free. Peace
I purchases the 2k doorbell and I'm very happy with it. I don't get any false alarms or missed captures from what I can tell. That's anecdotal of course.

I do have a 'path' between two hedges and a pillar to get to my front door so maybe that helps protect against false alarms of people walking on the side walk.

I don't understand why their outdoor cameras are so expensive when their indoor ones are so cheap. Is it not just their $30 2K camera in an outdoor enclosure? As for this floodlight, it's exactly what I was looking for except I gave up awhile back and just mounted the $40 indoor pan & tilt under an overhang next to a motion sensor flood light and it works pretty great. I have no doubt this is a better solution for sure but $200 better? That I'm not convinced of.

Anyway I'm still tempted to do it right and just get an all-in-one unit but I'm not so sure yet.
This doesn't just pan and tilt. It literally tracks people by automatically adjusting the camera to where they are walking through all their movements. Pretty cutting edge. If you have a junction box already this is honestly a no brainer.

This is 3000 lumens. It seems the equivalent of 200 watts incandescent. Is that bright enough to light up a driveway like daylight at night?

I wonder if this product has better motion detection because I've used the Eufy doorbell and no matter what setting I used as "sensitivity" for motion detection either I'd get a ton of false positives or I'd get instances where it simply didn't record any event for people at my door. They never seem to update the firmware on their doorbells. I updated the day I installed it and never did I see another firmware update.

They have a box you can put in ONE area of your camera's field of view to disregard false positives but the doorbell would always have multiple false positives within its field of view. Always swaying plants, leaves, even some none moving objects that have shadows around them. It drove me nuts. I couldn't dial in a setting that seemed to eliminate false positives and consistently record people approaching my door. They've got a lot of work to do on their "ai human detection". Eufy needs to contact papa Elon Musk.

As much as i'm tempted to get one, most of the floodlights i purchased from Costco and installed, died between 1-2 years and this floodlight warranty only covers up a year. I don't mind tossing $40 and get another one and replace the defective floodlight, but at this price, I"m not sure i'd bite.

Wouldn't you want to pay a little more and get one of those starlight ptz camera, granted you'd need POE+ but the videos i've seen, shown those such a beast.

Pretty sure wired or wireless is the #1 or #2 factor in outdoor security cameras. Again, adding two simple words to the title doesn't seem like a huge request or something to write a dissertation about the arguments for and against.

And the OP's "job"? No one posting here is under any obligation to add anything useful to their post. The OP could have just made a post with the title "Camera". But, this is a COMMUNITY, where information is provided and exchanged, free of charge or obligation, to fellow members as a courtesy. But, I guess that's too much for you to consider. Everyone for themselves, right? Don't go out of your way to help anyone else. Ah, the American way. Let me guess, you're a conservative.
Wired or wireless could mean anything. In fact this camera can't be considered wireless since it requires wifi.

I very much doubt that a 200 watt bulb produces 3,000 lumens. But this very easily lights up a driveway and a whole lot more.

I have a ton of cameras and this is my favorite. Not cheap but you really do get what you pay for here. As soon as you unbox it you will appreciate the quality, it's looks commercial grade. And any intruder will recognize this is more than your garden variety security light. Might convince them that you've got other high end devices so you may not be a great target.

Ok, 3 words then, "wired power only." Happy? Of course you're not. JFC. Have fun.
Wired powered only doesn't tell you anything. USB cable, POE, junction box, etc are nothing alike.
