Whatever, dude. Wired power only tells me there is not a battery option. I don't really care *how* it is wired if I know that it has to be hardwired in order to function. Again, pretty much the #1 question for outdoor cameras is: Does it have to be hardwired or can it run on battery / solar. You can disagree with that all you want, I don't really care.

PS: I "thumbs-downed" this post due to lack of critical information in the title and body.
Maybe other people care how it is wired as there's huge difference between a junction box and USB power. Or maybe they care about some other spec like the storage type. Should they also be complaining about that detail not being in the title? The fact you demand a particular detail you find important included in the title because you are too lazy to click on the item and find out for yourself is funny. Spending all this time complaining about it shows time is not something you're short on.

Is reading comprehension a problem for you? Again, the #1 question people want to know about an outdoor camera is if it is hardwired only or if there is a battery / solar option. Got it? Do you understand? I can't spell it out any more for you.

This has nothing to do with being lazy. It has everything to do with including the #1 most important feature of outdoor cameras in the title or at least the body of the post. Sorry this is such a controversial issue for you. And yeah, "Might want to add "wired only" in the title" is such a DEMAND. Anyway, have fun continuing down this pathetic path that you have chosen for yourself.
It's so important no one does it lol. The tantrum you are throwing is hilarious, keep it up.

Seriously, take 10 seconds to avoid looking like a jackass when given the opportunity. That's my life advice for you. I'm done here because you are not worth any more of my time.
I see plenty that don't specify wired only. Go lecture them.

"Might want to add "wired only" in the title" = demand and lecture.

Who is lecturing who here? You are lecturing me over a simple request.

Piss off.
This is a guy who doesn't want to waste time clicking on a thread yet spends all his time lecturing others lol.

Does Floodlight Cam 2 Pro connect to eufyCam HomeBase?

No, Floodlight Cam 2 Pro does not require a HomeBase or hub to work; it connects directly to Wi-Fi. For users who have a eufy HomeBase and would like the Floodlight Cam to save videos on HomeBase, please stay tuned. This feature will be available in the future.
The Lie Detector Determined That Was a Lie.

People are waiting for plenty of eufy features that would be available in the future. Now distant past.

Like I mean. If you have multiple wifi cameras you can't arm/disarm them in one go. No grouping of devices. lol. Have fun toggling 7 cameras/sensors on/off using a slow UI multiple times a day.

I'm 50 and I have an alert for eufy security cameras. But I guess requesting to add 2 simple words elicits a response of DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH from d-bags who like to argue about every little thing. Piss off.

By the way, I added a bunch of useful information directly from the product page on Amazon. If you are posting a deal, take 15 seconds to cut-and-paste to make your post more informative. Then you don't have 10 pages of people asking the same questions over and over again and it will save people time from having to look at the product page and search for the answer. Better still, if you see an alert in your email with "wired only" in the title, then you don't even have to open the post, let alone search for the information.
Just stop already. Nobody cares. You have 10 posts with the same thing.

Super dumb question - what's a junction box? Can this not be powered by an extension cord?
Not a dumb question.

A junction box is simply a housing for electrical connections such as switches, lights, ceiling fans, and more. It's where electricians (or DIY people) connect wires together using specially made electrical connectors. They come in all different types and sizes.

Some people mount their flood lights directly onto their house without one which I believe is incorrect. A junction box designed for outside has proper grounding, room for thermal activity, and is made of fire resistant material (if non-metallic). Basically meets code if used right.

This camera is an absolute beast! By far one of the best cameras I have ever used. It's AI motion detection tracking is insane for this price point. Nothing else on the market this good at this price range. I was originally concerned based on some of the reviews noting the motion detection was faulty. As I looked into it more on other sites and reviews, turns out it was indeed true, until eufy updated the firmware.! So anyone buying this make sure you update the firmware before you just "go". Also, there are infinite settings you can configure to tweak range, sensitivity, locations, etc. since I purchased, they have been adding more and more functionality. You will be amazed when this tracks someone walking from one side of your house to the complete opposite side. And given you don't even need a hub or nvr, this gives users easy adoption. I don't usually rave about products (especially on slickdeals) but this one is really impressive.
Could not DISAGREE more.

I have Eufy cameras and while they are good, they are not "beasts" by any means. Their AI is horrible. Geo fencing is also horrible. I would be amazed if a Eufy product did what it actually claimed. They keep mass producing crap products, diluting whatever credibility they had/were trying to build. Adding new, useless products nobody wanted while their current ones get renamed, fragmented and never updated.

To top it off, you are BOMBARDED with constant spam for REFERRAL incentives/cash/links/freebies. It's terrible.

You cared enough to read all 10 posts and respond. Derp!

All of this over a simple request, rather merely a suggestion, to add "wired only" in the title. What a world we live in.
that's the problem with your complaint/request, "wired only" implies you need to run a CAT5/6 line to it... it implies nothing about the power source.
the marketing phrase you're looking for is "wire-free", which is battery operated and WiFi. but even this marketing phrase changes from vendor to vendor.

as others have said though, it's simple enough without all this nonsense in a forum to just click a link and check the specs yourself. if you want to update the Wiki after that to help others looking for a specific thing like yourself, by all means, help the community... but what you're doing here doesn't help anything.

I think the biggest drawback to this device is the light bulbs are not interchangeable - if the light bulbs go out, you need to replace the entire unit, which is wasteful. They should have made the light part removable
