I think the biggest drawback to this device is the light bulbs are not interchangeable - if the light bulbs go out, you need to replace the entire unit, which is wasteful. They should have made the light part removable
yeah, same problem with every LED floodlight... they're never replaceable. but it's compounded with losing a camera here, it'd be a mess to keep the camera and add another light above it. it's a gamble, especially with the short 12 month warranty.

i'd keep the two functions separate, since everything kinda sucks now and is built to die... that and inexpensive cameras get better every year, upgrades are always right around the corner.

where do you folks install it, i can't think of a location around my house that would need a 360 angle, unless i install it on a pole.

Could not DISAGREE more.

I have Eufy cameras and while they are good, they are not "beasts" by any means. Their AI is horrible. Geo fencing is also horrible. I would be amazed if a Eufy product did what it actually claimed. They keep mass producing crap products, diluting whatever credibility they had/were trying to build. Adding new, useless products nobody wanted while their current ones get renamed, fragmented and never updated.

To top it off, you are BOMBARDED with constant spam for REFERRAL incentives/cash/links/freebies. It's terrible.
Everyone is entitled to outline their own experiences. It seems like you you are talking about your experience with OTHER cameras made by Eufy. I have a few and I wouldn't classify any of them as beasts EXCEPT the one in this thread which I clearly outlined. That being said, I know what you are talking about in their recent stunts to just rebrand the same product, it's getting tiresome. This spotlight camera pro however is in a all new class. It's got all the bells and whistles and actually delivers. Although the product seems built like a tank, I will be monitoring the longevity of the product, so far I've had it for about 3 months. Previously tried both the ring spotlight and lorex spotlight in the same location. Both couldn't even touch the capabilities and quality of this one, and at only a few dollars more, I couldn't be happier. Plus I would have needed two ring spotlights to cover the same area therefore making this cheaper. Since you are buying this from Amazon, If you are on the fence and are very capable of installing a spotlight yourself, test it out, worst case you spend an hour installing and you return to Amazon because it didn't meet your standards.

Mine is installed on the corner of the house awning getting a little over 270 degrees. It would be cool to see about getting 360, but honestly given there isn't spotlight cover 360, 270 is more realistic.

This doesn't just pan and tilt. It literally tracks people by automatically adjusting the camera to where they are walking through all their movements. Pretty cutting edge. If you have a junction box already this is honestly a no brainer.
The pan & tilt indoor cam tracks too. I do have a wired JB for the flood light but will probably hold off on this for now as my solution is still working well.

Wow, I didn't even realize and clearly just assumed. Looks like they are taking that camera putting it in a waterproof enclosure, adding spotlights, additional motion sensors, and some other bells and whistles. Well if you were happy with that product, then you'll probably be happy with this.

very interesting, i wonder how the Ai is able to detect such a wide angle.

Built in motion sensors above the camera. Additionally you can set the camera the periodically pan across different view points, so it's constantly rotating every 10 seconds or so.

that's the problem with your complaint/request, "wired only" implies you need to run a CAT5/6 line to it... it implies nothing about the power source.
the marketing phrase you're looking for is "wire-free", which is battery operated and WiFi. but even this marketing phrase changes from vendor to vendor.

as others have said though, it's simple enough without all this nonsense in a forum to just click a link and check the specs yourself. if you want to update the Wiki after that to help others looking for a specific thing like yourself, by all means, help the community... but what you're doing here doesn't help anything.
You're right - the #1 thing people want to know about outdoor security cameras should NOT be included in the title or body of the posting because the language used to describe it might be misinterpreted. I don't see any way around this conundrum. Oh well.

The default method of outdoor security installation is hard wired to electrical power and should be assumed as such unless specifically stated battery powered. You cannot have features like this run on batteries. End of discussion

They said the same thing 2 years ago about the indoor cameras. Still no support and they stopped replying to questions about it.
