NO do not this display is dogshit, the performance is poor due to low wattage and poor thermals, also potential hinge issues(major warning). This is utter shite, don't why GL or GF series are ever recommended here, MSI's Katana is a GL rebrand and attempt to scrub this laptops bad reputation.

Avoid these laptops. For good, reliable at least decently constructed chassis's with way better performance look out for Dell G15(AMD edition, Intel works too but is worse), HP Omen/Victus, MSI GP/GE 66 and 76, Legion 5(most ideal), Helios 300, Nitro 5. Search for these, and don't buy below a 3060, there have been incredible deals for all these laptops, but they may not be on sale right this moment.

This is not the way. Put the actual date it starts, not "tomorrow" because when "tomorrow" rolls around and it is "today" it will still say "tomorrow"

Will get this tonight as soon as the sale starts. For a 15 year old that does play intense games. For 1099 with the extra year warranty and the return policy at Costco this seems like a good deal.

I just returned my 1299 msi ge76 3060 and bought msi ge76 3070 for 1999. Dumb I'm sure but whatever. I have to assume itl have a top tier screen over the 3060 model

You can run pc vr ok with rx580 which i am using from my daughter's room.

Good specs for the money the only deal breaker for some would be the panel. It's around 250+ nits of brightness and low color accuracy (45% NTSC) so those that edit photos or videos I'd stay away. Also battery life is mediocre (around 2.5 hours) I'd say this would be equivalent of the Asus TUF from last year and I expect it to be this price range more often than not...

MSI's G series specifically you always have to watch out for... they never pair with color accurate panels. Go for the legion 5 with the RTX 3050ti or pay 100-200 more for the RTX 3060 version for a better panel. Also the Helios 300 from a while back was a good deal at $1100 + tax too

You can't blame anyone because specs look enticing, but these laptops shouldn't be worth more then 900 at most

They're plenty fast but not this one, poor thermals means it has lower performance.

Legion 5, GP/GE 66 and 76, Dell G15(AMD version), Omen are options you want to look out for, don't go for below a 3060

But why though? GE76 isn't that amazing and there are good alternatives for cheaper price.. that isn't good value, eluktronics max 17, mech 15, prometheus 17 3070's are 1699$
