This is what's worked for us:
Put a tarp under it.

Let dry completely before putting away for winter.

Sprinkle baby powder on it so it doesn't stick to itself in storage.

Store in large plastic garbage can with lid.
They say you can't put a price on your child's smile but this guy definitely can.
We do much the same (though the baby powder is a new/good idea): Put a tarp under the entire thing (we used an oversized tarp so the kids could get out without getting grass on their feet before they get to the porch); deflate and drain, then RE-inflate and leave in the sun for a bit to heat/air dry; fold it up best you can, put in container/bag. At least, that's our best attempt.

Repeat each time you use.

I would pay the full price. These can get little holes that deflate it or make it hard to be as stable as they should and very possibly used a couple times for an item like this.

In my extensive experience w/ warehouse deals, I get brand new unopened items all the time. Never "used" If it's not up to my standards, back to the warehouse it'll go! lol

Warehouse deals used to be great, but now is complete garbage, they don't check the items anymore and returns have gotten much harder to do.

And to save $15 to get a USED item with no warranty would be quite an idiotic move imo.
