Returnal gets so much better/easier after you upgrade your weapon a few times. It can feel repetitive (literally the design of the genre) but every weapon starts to get way cooler/stronger that it makes it way more fun in the later half. I almost put that game down too but I'm glad I powered through it. Looking forward to playing Deathloop soon.

I didn't have as much fun with this as I thought I would. Was gonna wait for gamepass but pre ordered a few hours before release. Didn't end up beating it because it started feeling very Same-y. Honestly had more fun in returnal. Not saying it's bad but it doesn't hit game of the year area for everyone. For 40 bucks though... Not a bad deal.

Odd, I can't seem to get the standard edition for PS5. Maybe it sold out. Best Buy does have the PC version for $39.99. Noticed it sells for $59.99 on Amazon [amazon.com]. Lmao if you trust gamer reviews. It's nothing but a bunch of trolls, such as yourself, review bombing it. There are over 500 positive reviews and less than 300 negative reviews on Metacritic. Haven't played any other PS5 game since this came out. I've definitely been over farming guns & purple trinkets, but the fact that this game literally supports every single play style imaginable when you get to a high enough level makes it really special. Sure, the standard enemy AI could be better (even tho that tracks with the game's lore) & b4 the latest updates, it had it's share of Bethesda bugs, but that's really the only flaw I can name after 50+ hours. I own a series x & PS5, I'm sure the series x version will have a bonus level or two to make it the goty edition, but anyone hating on this game clearly hasn't played it at all. If you're lucky enough to have a PS5, this is essential
