These bits have a titanium coating so they would work perfectly for all but the hardest metals (like thicker stainless steel) and would also be perfect for all woods and plastics. They ARE NOT to be used to drill brick/masonry ever! The titanium coating helps make the bits themselves "smoother" (as compared to normal black oxide bits) so they generate less heat from friction during use which results in a longer cutting lifespan.

For really hard metals (like stainless) you would want cobalt bits, but be aware that they are more prone to breakage due to their extreme hardness.

For brick/masonry drilling use bits specifically made for masonry which have a different design and are "softer" to resist breakage. Diamond coated bits also excel for this use and should also be used when drilling ceramics.

Finally, impact rated bits, for both drilling and driving, have a softer section on their barrel that is made to absorb the "shock" of an impact driver which hits hard and then backs off to hit hard again over and over. By absorbing the heavy shocks the bit itself is less likely to break in half.

Yes they will 'work'. These are HEX shanked drill bits so they cost more than 'normal' drill bits and might be overkill for your needs.

I have these and they have held up well to my occasional use. However the actual bit itself is a little short on some of the smaller sizes, but it works in most instances. These work about like the Bosch ones I have owned in the past. My Black & Decker bits break if I even look at them wrong.

The only thing I don't like is that the hex bit base eats up some of the length of the smaller bits. Stops the slippage in the drill but at a tradeoff for length.

HEX is great for quick change too.

Also saw 20 Sawzall blades for $20.

Is that a pretty good deal?

There was another thread where someone mentioned that the sawzall set is mostly metal-cutting blades and only a few wood ones. The wood ones come in handy more often IMO

Edit:
Link to some older threads: https://slickdeals.net/f/15251299-20-piece-milwaukee-sawzall-bi-metal-wood-and-metal-cutting-reciprocating-saw-blade-set-20-home-depot?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

Seems like I was mistaken though - looks like normal deals are for mostly wood blades and not many metal blades. This looks like a decent deal, but it looks like the price has been a bit lower even recently.

No, definitely not for brick or plaster or mortar.
