Very nice Sony OLED but not worth double LG OLED C1 . Wish Sony would make it about $200-$300 more than the C1

Or $1K more than the BB deal on the A8H a few weeks ago.

I'm going to try one, for at least NY state with sales tax, B&H pays the entire state sales tax if you use their payboo card, so that's some extra savings (not sure if applies outside NY). Sometimes if you call, especially for existing customers, they can discount a bit more, although it might be a small extra.

Certainly not as good as the current Costco LG 55" C1 deal ($1,299, with years of free extra warranty), but the C1 is just not enough improvement over my C7 to make it worth the change for me now (not a gamer, everyone seems to agree the C1 is better for gaming).

Most give the Sony an edge for Movie picture quality, and that's where I am. I have had very good luck with B&H over the years, but admittedly, this Sony, even with this discount, is still on the pricey side.

Yeah payboo works everywhere I've let family use it for other states as well.

I have the LG Oled C1 48" which I use mainly as a desktop office/gaming monitor. The C1 was a lot easier to work with in terms of getting HDR to properly display in windows 10. Both will need you to setup the inputs to do so though.

Recently picked up this Sony oled as well based on all the reviews, and for sure it wins in overall picture quality and sound...but not by much. I still struggle with stomaching the cost. It needs to come down to at least the $1500 price range to properly compete, especially for only having 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. Also, they have been promising variable refresh rate via update on these by year end...guess we'll see. I just don't think Sony can get margins down low enough to really compete. In Asia, the highest quality oled tv is Panasonic, and for the west it's Sony - but you'll be paying 2-3x for something that may be 10% better at best.

Just ordered the 48" C1 this morning. If it works out, I'll get another for a dual monitor setup. Built a new rig a few months ago: 5950x/Strix LC 6900xt. I would love the new Panny OLED, BUT $4K for a 65" is insane.

Why do TV stands keep getting worse? These things look ridiculous. Sony keeps trying to reinvent the wheel, first with their stupid easel/leaning stand, now this, which is admittedly an improvement over the easel, but still not good looking.

$800 more than the LG deal from Costco? Me thinks not. There's no way the quality is almost double as good. If it were a couple of hundred for the Sony, then I could see giving it a try.

In for one since I was about to splurge on one anyways for much more $$ locally and I like giving B&H my money.

Want to try out the Auto HDR features of the PS5 and I hate LG's stupid Wii Remote..and overall interface.

Who knows maybe I can get them to price match since BF is within 30 days....

Deal is slick but value is not haha

Better off getting a 65" A80J on clearance/open box at BB. Less money and the difference in the two sets is quite minuscule.

The out the door street price [avsforum.com] from a certain Grün Toad vendor and perhaps others for this 55" A90J has been $2199 for over a month. Sony needs to drop all these A90J prices to get them within a reasonable distance from their own A80J... in my opinion... they can do what they want, of course, and if enough people buy them for the bloated prices, good for Sony, but when you can get two 65A80Js for less than the price of one 65A90J like you could last week before the MSRP on the A80J went back up, they might want to look at adjusting the A90J prices.

Eh, maybe it is just me. I prefer a pedestal for a nice TV.

Killer price I love this tv. It's hard to communicate but it gives so much "emotion " I have a 75" 8k tv and this blows it away …
