I've been using nuun for .. 15 years maybe? It's electrolytes in an effervescent tablet, which I guess means it dissolves well in water. I use a half tablet per bottle of water when biking, or just when I'm drinking water at work.

I like it. Some people don't like the flavors. But for free it's work a try.

I am usually really not picky, but this stuff tastes nothing like Gatorade. The tablets make your water almost carbonated or tangy tasting, but not in a good way. It isn't refreshing to me. I recently did a half marathon where they were serving it and after the first couple of stations no one would get it because of the taste. I bought some and I wouldn't again...I guess for free it is worth a try for anyone.

I've been using Nuun for a while. Put one tablet in a 20 ounce water bottle. It definitely makes a difference in my Gym workouts and long hikes, but I would say it's marginal, but noticeable.
