I've been using nuun for .. 15 years maybe? It's electrolytes in an effervescent tablet, which I guess means it dissolves well in water. I use a half tablet per bottle of water when biking, or just when I'm drinking water at work.

I like it. Some people don't like the flavors. But for free it's work a try.

I used this when I went hiking for a couple weeks in various parks out west. It tastes OK, not as good as Gatorade (but also not full of sugar). It was very useful, though, to have something compact. Instead of buying and carrying a bunch of Gatorade, you just fill up your bottle with water as needed and add a tablet.

For a marathon or other short term use, get what you enjoy. But for a longer trip where space or weight is a concern, these things are more practical. Assuming you enjoy the taste of course, and this free sample deal is a good chance to test that out.

I've been wanting to try these, thanks!

What iv'e been doing for long hikes (10+miles) is freezing a bottle (tetrapack) of coconut juice and putting that in my pack. Cold/Slushy drink on turn around and it tastes pretty good and has some electrolytes. Also put a very small pinch of pink sea salt and a spoonful of sugar in one nalgene when temps are over 80F.

Nope. A 20oz bottle of Gatorade has 34g of added sugar. A Nuun tablet which is supposed to go in 16oz of water has 1-2g of sugar.
Yes the are not gatorade but they get the job done, some flavors are better than others

Why in the world people given - ve vote for your comment 😱 I have tried last weekend during my 7 mile run and felt no cramps or anything after the run. Ordered them and going to use in Sundays Houston half marathon 😎.

My daughter uses this for soccer games/tournaments. The tablets are hard to break to fit into a small-mouth water bottle but she enjoys the taste enough to not complain about having to drink them.
