I have both the Bio Bidet 6800 and the Toto SW2044 (slightly different model). The Toto is much more powerful when you turn the 'Soft' option off and it puts out a lot more water/second. I'd say the Bio can only get up to a 4-5 where as the Toto can go all the way to 10 in terms of water pressure. However, I find this pressure to be too much and prefer to be in the ~7 range. The Toto's air filter works much better at eliminating smells, though the charcoal filter does need to be replaced every 12-18 months at ~$30/pop. I find the Toto more comfortable to sit on and it also sprays inside the bowl when you sit down to help prevent anything from sticking to the walls (Bio Bidet doesn't have this). The air dryers on both don't work well as it is much faster to use a little TP to dry off and be on your way.

The Bio Bidet doesn't get much use anymore as the wife and I strongly prefer the Toto, but it is more expensive. Guests who are new to bidets and use the Bio Bidet (now in the guest bath) generally enjoy it, as we did before moving on to the Toto.

We've had two of these for the past year and they're great. Super clean asses and rarely use toilet paper anymore.

I don't know anything about these in particular. But I just want to say that automated washlets are a lifestyle improvement that's beyond anything one can imagine. It almost feels like going from a 19th century barbarian to a future person.

I'd suggest anyone to get one, doesn't necessarily have to be these.

I've had this model for over two years with no breakage, and I am well over 300 lbs. Be gentle when sitting and standing, and it should be fine. And if your lid broke, then someone sat on it, and you should NEVER sit on the lid.
Found this on their support site, just to add to your comments on the durability:

"Hello,

All of our Bio Bidet products with a seat will have an approved weight limit of 400 lbs on the seat only, this does not include the lid.

Thanks,
Bio Bidet Customer Support"

Does this require a power outlet? Anyone have recs for one that doesn't require power? I don't really want to have another outlet wired if I can help it.
Yes it does

I love this thing. Life changing. Agree with the other poster if mine broke I'd buy another immediately.

Is this worth the price? $200 isn't cheap for the job it does.
You'd have to pay me more than $200 to wipe your butt, so I guess having this machine do it would be cheaper...

That said, I have a similar model and it costs ~$1/week in electricity costs (measured by kill-a-watt)

This is the regular 6800 not the 6800U, wish Costco can bring back the A8 for $249
I believe the one Costco carries is actually the 6800U model since it has all these features of the 6800U model [biobidet.com]:
- Night Light
- User 1 and User 2 presets (Nozzle position and Water Pressure)
- Duel sided remote

Never had one, never used one. The concept seems OK except for the nozzle being underneath. Doesn't it get dirty?

edit: also I don't have an outlet by the toilet. It would have to run across my sink to reach power. Doesn't seem ideal.
you need a dedicated 20amp circuit, you will eventually start popping that outlet by sink. mine started overtime tripping, became more prominent ,I finally wired a new outlet and never had an issue again.

I got rid of my biobidets etc.. I moved to this little baddie, very very happy with it to be honest.
I honestly like it more than my 500 dollar bidet I had., its just simple, water is warm at my house in the walls I guess because its Luke warm and the pressure is as strong or stronger than these motorized ones. Lol. it will shoot all way across room if you turn it up.

Do they still call that a bidet? Sounds like a wand aka little shower head. I don't have a bidet, but have been considering it for a long time. The only thing stopping me is the lack of power outlet. I imagine the user experience is much better on OP vs a hose.
it's pretty easy to add an electric outlet from existing wiring in your bathroom if you are handy. Just watch some YouTube videos Smilie

The heat/fan seems like a nice upgrade. If you are on the fence about buying a cheap one, get one that has the whole unit (lid included). Sometimes the ones you install under your current seat leave a gap.

I've seen toilets with the sprayer built into the toilet bowl. The sprayer handle was even on the wall. Anyone know of such toilets?

I'm not a fan of these toilet seat sprayer style ones. Makes me look like I'm hooked up to life support from my bottom end.

Edit:

Hm…can get a nice looking shutoff valve and fancy plumbing trickery to get a warm water mixer 😂 Or slap on a small diverter/shower valve.

Now just for the bowl sprayer toilet version…

Both my adult children have bidets without power. They just don't have heated water or seats. They just run off the pressure in the water line.
As someone who started out with an uncovered bidet. They are a step up from nothing for ~20-30. But I'd fork over $200 for one of these again before I'd buy another unheated for $30. Winters are awful when it's -20 out and you need the bidet. 😆
