I have both the Bio Bidet 6800 and the Toto SW2044 (slightly different model). The Toto is much more powerful when you turn the 'Soft' option off and it puts out a lot more water/second. I'd say the Bio can only get up to a 4-5 where as the Toto can go all the way to 10 in terms of water pressure. However, I find this pressure to be too much and prefer to be in the ~7 range. The Toto's air filter works much better at eliminating smells, though the charcoal filter does need to be replaced every 12-18 months at ~$30/pop. I find the Toto more comfortable to sit on and it also sprays inside the bowl when you sit down to help prevent anything from sticking to the walls (Bio Bidet doesn't have this). The air dryers on both don't work well as it is much faster to use a little TP to dry off and be on your way.

The Bio Bidet doesn't get much use anymore as the wife and I strongly prefer the Toto, but it is more expensive. Guests who are new to bidets and use the Bio Bidet (now in the guest bath) generally enjoy it, as we did before moving on to the Toto.

We've had two of these for the past year and they're great. Super clean asses and rarely use toilet paper anymore.

I don't know anything about these in particular. But I just want to say that automated washlets are a lifestyle improvement that's beyond anything one can imagine. It almost feels like going from a 19th century barbarian to a future person.

I'd suggest anyone to get one, doesn't necessarily have to be these.

What's the point of this nowadays? Hasn't everyone switched over to using the three seashells?

Huh. I did that the first few times and found it unnecessary after that.

I recently bought the Moen when it was on sale. How does this compare to Moen?

We have been using this unit for close to 2 years now in a rented house via an extension cord. Without the ECO mode turned on, the circuit breaker would trip occasionally when using at the same time as several heaters on the same circuit.

Overall it has been great - heated seat and water are very welcome on cold winter mornings, or after you consume the ungodly amount of habanero sauce...
Some things are rather poorly implemented - light can be turned on and off only manually, some settings are not saved within each user setting (the "bubbly" mode), some settings are not applied properly with the user settings, air purifier and fan are rather useless. Still, the quality you get for the price on sale is rather unbeatable.

This is the regular 6800 not the 6800U, wish Costco can bring back the A8 for $249
Anything special for A8 vs this 6800U?

It's the one thing I miss when I'm traveling away from home unless I'm going to Japan.

I believe the one Costco carries is actually the 6800U model since it has all these features of the 6800U model [biobidet.com]:
- Night Light
- User 1 and User 2 presets (Nozzle position and Water Pressure)
- Duel sided remote
Correct this is the 6800U which is really the best of options for bio bidet. Unfortunately the seats crack relatively easily and you have to completely disassemble to change (or take back to Costco which is what we just did.) so this price drop came just in time.

Could anyone give some advice please for a person who has a 10 inch rough-in (as opposed to the now standard 12")? So far, it feels impossible to buy a decent toilet to fit the 10" rough-in, and it seems every decent bidet, whether it's a whole unit, or a "seat" attachment version (especially elongated, which I definitely want) bidet needs a 12". I'd genuinely appreciate it .. thank you in advance!

Without power is a physics impossibility. There is not one without power. Otherwise I would have bought that.
You can get non-powered and yet still warm water by simply ordering one that has a cold and warm water hookup like I do. You simply turn a knob so it's in "cleaning mode" so the warm water can come through the line and then switch it over to cleaning mode and voila you have warm water on your butt( with no power other than the power used at your hot water heater)

Be careful with Bio Bidet as its products quality is very poor. My 6800 seat broke after 1 year of use and the A8 I bought as replacement also stopped working as the nozzle won't come out after 1 year of use. Thanks to Costco return policy and I was able to return them.

It's the 1st of November, why is it still listed at $299?

My Toto toilet and Bidet combo has created a goddamn throne that's ready for the upcoming winter. All the doubters, ignorance is bliss.

For me I'm down to 3 squares on and off. I'm not sure how much overselling on saving is, but if you are saying your consumption is down by 66%, that is fairly significant in terms of math and especially for something done ~2-3 times a day every single day multiplied by number of tenants - you're buying in bulk.

Concur. The plastic is brittle. Had the hose connection break and flood the house.
