Yes, they are standard hex shank, just dressed in different gang colors.

No masonry bits in this set.

Just buy Tapcon brand SDS drill bits as needed, nothing else compares, nothing else is worth your time, nor do you save money as the cheap bits burn faster than any meager "savings".

The $224 price is the manufacturers printed "total combined value" of the individual pieces as printed on the front sticker of the unit.

In essence, they could essentially put whatever number they wanted to on this to entice you that it is a "good deal". It is not a price that the unit has ever or will ever be up for sale at.

Take it with a block of salt, and determine if the actual price of the units combined stock is worth the actual price you're paying; usually, especially with these "gift type" sets popping up as we reach the end of the year, it's marginal. This particular set seems a bit better than marginal; I would purchase at the given price if I needed the unit.

Just my .02 cents worth precisely that.

Cheers.

Oh, it's highly inflated MSRP/Value tactics, but this is still a very good deal for what you get.

I have purchased these separately before, but I doubt the value should be over $50-60 here. Still a good deal though.

It's definitely a lie to say that it's a "$224 value" - just look at all the DeWalt sets on sale in Lowe's and their "Was" prices. Unless the plastic case it's in is actually the most expensive part. Then I'll stand corrected. 😉

Real value is about $10 per set in the box, at most as those are very small sets. So $30 is about right including volume discount
