So you need to do a payment directly via Amex at ebay checkout right? Vs adding the amex card to paypal and then paying via paypal.

You have to pay with Amex on the ebay site, so Amex knows. If you use paypal to pay funded by Amex, it will just show paypal on the transaction so you won't get the credit.

Got it on my Blue cash. Repped.

That is not always correct.

Amex Offers typically, and I'd even say mostly in my experience, do work if you use it via PayPal.

However, terms and conditions generally have a disclaimer to avoid using wallets and payment processors, of which PayPal is one.

Risk is yours though.

This question comes up in each of Amex offers threads.

Same for me. Bought one item from ID and didn't receive the typical "Great news!..." email. Hope it just takes some time or needs to be reviewed maybe.

EDIT: just received the "Great news!..." email so it's working and took around 20+ minutes to trigger.

got it as well. not sure how they can tell where the item is shipped from since many listings say ny, ny but in fact, come from china. shouldn't be hard to trigger this one but since it doesn't expire until end of year, i'll wait to combine it with tcb $2.50 bonus they regularly offer.
