I thought it was just me same experience I couldn't never get into it. I bought the game because I was a huge fan of the first set they came up with loved it. I was so excited for GW2 and it just never grew on me. As much as I tried to love it I couldn't get into it. I even bought all the expansions.

Thats a bummer. I did GW1 and loved GW2. I did get burnt out before HoT came out and took a break. Then came back when they released PoF and bought both expansions and there was so much to do I played for almost 2 years straight. Took another 6 month break, and been playing again non stop since then. There is soooo much to do. But I will admit it can sometimes be hard if you don't know what to look for on what to do. Like achievements, legendary hunting, end game, etc.

Jesus christ. Trying to create an account on arena.net is like pulling teeth. Unexpected error, password error (even though it met requirements), account creation failed, not authorize to make an account. 🖕🏼

Had an account for the 1st GW. Nope, says it's blocked for security reasons and to contact support. I ain't got time for that. So 🖕🏼🖕🏼

I think the problem for me was to understand the game overall. GW was pretty damn straight forward than GW2 seem confused. I really liked lots of things. I was super excited, but I just didn't dig it. I had really no friends I got one friend into it she loved it. The times I played with her she was an OG had all this animals I been wanting to just try it once more since it was amazing.

Yeah exactly it can get overwhelming. I definitely think having someone or a guild to help guide is super helpful. If you ever decide to get back into the game, I would be more than willing to help you figure things out! It's nice to have someone help you set clear, and manageable goals.

I still login daily for the chest. 1500 laurels lol. It's a beautiful game, although even my 3080 has troubles at ultra. I found it super entertaining at first but quit after a while. WOW always felt better for me, but I've had that game since 05

You should try again with Dx11. They finally have upgraded from Dx9 (granted Dx11 is beta right now) but a vast majority of people have seen big jumps in FPS and what not especially in bigger fights like WvW

I spent years of my life playing the wvw portion only. Extremely fun when we had small 10-15 man guilds steam rolling 30+ players lol.

Played a way too much GW1...but after some years got burnt out from it. By the time GW2 came out I didn't have much spare time, especially for an MMO. So never tried it.
