Thread Details
Apology to the SD members for posting NOT a HotDeal but a Major Warning for members that purchased the Pixel 3 through SD before. Please do consider backing up and switching device ASAP or chances are that, like me, you will end up with a bricked phone overnight! Didn't expected that from GOOGLE!!!
Exactly as described in this article below, the phone starts by randomly rebooting (stuck in EDL) until it even doesn't charge anymore!!! If anyone has a solution, I'd love to find out!

It's stuff like this that make me want to go Apple. Google Pixels always seem to have more serious issues.... as well as losing their value much faster.
I even had disabled automatic updates in developer options, so this must be a forced update that is pending a restart to install. I don't even know how to tell exactly what the update pending is. I have backed up my phone files to PC in case, I just don't want to tempt fate at this point. I'd rather pass on even a security update.
If it is a wear and tear, or hardware failure issue, that is one thing.
This is an update (software) they push to the phones which can kill them. Then they refuse to make it work again which is within their power using a reflash with EDL software.
No other repair center has this capability.
That is not the proper way to handle this. At some point, there should be a positive development.
If not, there will be a class action brought and a settlement at some point.
Then they will rue the day they screwed us over.
I will get my share (~$3.98) come hell or high water. /s

For those who don't get it, the issue isn't about how much/old the item aka 3xs are; it's about how GOOGLE can't stand behind their existing P3x's vast global community of users instead of alienating them!
Again, I still have my NEXUS and a few others pixels' that are still in perfect working order - that's what the PIXEL brand means to most - until...you find their most valuable piece of hardware completely WRECKED overnight due to no fault of their own - yet - thanks to this fiasco and Google's incredible lack of care for P3 users - it turned a GREAT phone experience (aka brand loyalty) into a FIASCO since you went from you "beloved" P3 to a BRICK in a matter of minutes.
So many helpful PSA threads can get missed otherwise. Like yours.
