Here is the link to last year's black friday model with reviews:

The 3 year Allstate warranty on product page should cost $49 when the price drops to 299.99, so may be worth adding for piece of mind.
Your wife's what now?

Make sure you can fit the box in your car. Someone was returning there's as I picked mine up.

Zero complaints here, great sharp picture with a few minor adjustments

especially if it was bought using a major credit card that may already provide 1 extra year on top of manufacturer's warranty

if not I guess it's possible to do a return and rebuy with said credit card at pick up

looks like "Coverage only available for new TVs bought in the past 30 days." from https://www.squaretrade.com/tv-warranty (which Allstate owns, and apparently used by NewEgg and Costco too fwiw)
Thanks for the info. Didn't think about the major credit card part (I used Discover); will have to look into that.

As for Allstate, they can go piss up a rope! Wink

The Element 65" 4k roku listed here in this thread is approximately 10 inches larger in screen size.
How does this tv compare to the TCL 55s21 posted below?

https://js2.slickdeals.net/f/15338197-walmart-55-tcl-55s21-4k-uhd-hdr-smart-roku-tv-228-free-shippin...

I bought a TCL at 7 PM EST lastnight. I think that the TCL is a little better on build and components, overall performance and picture. What does anyone think that's compared both?
I got the 65" element played with it for an hour. Watch some YouTube video and movie seems fine. When I try to play some games on it, the input lag really showed. I played Mario party superstar and Over watch, the latter which was unplayable comparing to my old 40" TCL 40S30 was at least playable. Will get the 55" TCL from Walmart tomorrow. Seems like all the TCL reviews on rting have low input lags so hopefully it does as well. In my short time with it, it's a perfectly fine TV used for non-gaming purposes. Will see if my family wants to keep it or not.

Update: Went to pick the 55" TCL TV from Walmart. Much better input lag, I wish TCL have a 65" version on sale. Much prefer the TCL for gaming over the Element.

Took up an entire mid-size truck 6.1 foot bed
I was able to fit it easily in my Honda cr-V. With box. Rear seats folded.

Yep! We're all cheap SOBs here, but a dash of realism has to set in.

Target ditched me :-(. I placed the order around midnight as soon as it was available but they sent an email 2 hours later saying that the item is no longer available. Really frustrating

I have an Element tv and won't buy another. The remote response is horrible, sometimes the sound doesn't work right so I have to restart the tv, the volume increase increments are horrible, plus they score near the bottom of Consumer Reports test. Just spend the extra hundred or so and get a name brand if funds are tight.
all LCD TV sound sucks, any 99 $ soundbar is better than the build in crap speakers

Found this review of it. Not too bad at all. Happy to have gotten it and not had my order cancelled. Going from a 40 inch to this 65.

I was able to get one this morning, brought it home and opened it and there was a huge indentation on the top middle portion. The screen was cracked on the top half and I'm in the process of returning it. Of course, none in stock now to replace... just my luck. 😡

Update:
Brought back to get a refund, ended up with an exchange instead due to a cancellation. I really lucked out on an out of stock item. Sucks that a few folks on here experienced the same issue I had, best of luck guys.

Thank you much for your valuable input. It helps us all in comparisons and lets us know more what-if the tv has the primary, secondary things that we are looking for (and for overall reasons).
I am glad communities like this and others are here; When others leave their feedback..it helps us pick other tvs and items that better suit us / and or make more informed decisions.

I almost bought the Element but am going to hold back and maybe buy something else for the living room. (I would have regretted buying the Element over the low input lag-- glad I saw your post. Now I definitely won't buy it,)

I also realize 120hz refresh is running more like $450 for a hot deal at 50 to 55" right now, I will keep my eyes open until the last BF deals. Thanks, jinmc

Edit: Btw what did the rtings review say about the 65" Element? I didn't plag the proper model name in the search so I didn't get the correct result when trying to see the tech review.
