Just to be clear, I think many folks posting here are incorrect.

The "normal" almost always "sale" is $80 off the tires and $40 off install (IF YOU ARE A PLUS MEMBER).

This is the same $80 off the tires but free install to EVERY member.

It actually is a deal--esp if you aren't a PLUS member.

This is not true. Tires can be purchased deflated. If you choose to have them installed then they will be inflated.

They run this sale almost all the time. Seems like all the time. Pretty much always except for very short time that they don't. It's most of the time.

The ones that say $80 off still need to be installed and that's $20 per tire. With this deal it will be $80 off plus free install on each tire.

I had been trying to get some Michelin Defenders for months through Sams. I finally talked to a mechanic in person and he told me that Michelin makes the Michelin Defender under a different name for stores like Sam's, Costco, etc. It's called the Michelin X LT A/S. He said it's the exact same specs and milage warranty. The only difference is the name.

I contacted Michelin just to make sure this mechanic knew what he was talking about. The mechanic was 100% correct. The Michelin X LT A/S tires were a few bucks cheaper than the defenders and they arrived at the store in 9 days compared to waiting weeks for the defender.

The defender(X LT A/S) is a fantastic tire, please read up on the reviews. They do throw some rocks for a little bit until they are broken in.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Doremon

This deal is pretty much an extra 40 bucks of a set of tires.
$80 discounts are common
$120 discount is done quarterly
$160 discount is only once or twice a year.
Good deal if you need tires. This is usually their biggest discount aside from the rando extra saving for plus members.

Was decent years ago, like many other service industries the workers are from the bottom of the barrel now, not touching my cars. It's a shame......at least near me.
I worked at their tire department straight out of high school, not all workers are bad. I took pride in my work and subsequently made my coworkers to do so as well.

In the event that they are shitty workers, Mr. Walton has you covered 😘

But is the 20 per tire installation always included? I did not think so

Thanks a lot for this!! I was going to special order the Michelin Defenders but based on your comment, I will order the X LT A/S instead so that my order actually gets fulfilled.

Seems like Goodyear doesn't make smaller tires for cars like our 2 Toyota Yaris hatchbacks ... too bad, because I would have liked to get in on this deal....

Why would you want to put preminum tires on a Yaris? Put some Kuhmos or Sumitomos on it. Medium grade tires at a good price.

I guess mostly because I haven't heard of or used those brands, and would have rather used a brand I was used to.....

Yes this. I have been looking to buy tires for several months now and it has been $80, or $80 + $40 at best.

Originally wanted to buy at Costco- which I prefer, but they are continuously out of the BFGoodrich tires in my area.
Their current sale is for Bridgestones, the TURANZA QUIETTRACK I would buy are:
$188 x 4 - $150 + $80 install + $21.96 fees = $703.88 (before tax)

vs BFGoodrich BFGoodrich Advantage Control at Sam's Club:
$147.99 x4 - $80 +80 install - $80 + $10 fees = $431.96 (before tax)

Sure the Bridgestones are better tires, but I don't know if they are $300 better.

Just got new tires from Sams and they told me they have no idea when Sams corporate runs these sales? I paid $80 for install. They ripped me off.

Last set of tires that I got from Sam's they managed to cross thread one of the lug nuts. It was really bad and how they could not do it on purpose is beyond me. Check the lug nuts before you leave, don't discover it weeks later.
