With wifi6 and hdmi2.1 the max version is a better buy for those who have a hdmi2.1 compatible TV 😇

I have the FireStick Max with the 3rd gen remote control like this. I noticed that the 2nd gen controller also works the Max, so don't throw it away.

Has anybody figured out a way to reprogram the four lower buttons on the bottom of the 3rd gen remote control?

Neither of things matter for streaming. Wait for a deal for the Max because it comes with AV1 decoding. That'll be a real differentiator.
