TESTED & OWNED BOTH, and the fastest Residential MESH router I've ever had is NETGEAR ORBI RBK853 (but that is $1000), so if you want a very fast internet speed in almost every part of your house, get the NETGEAR ORBI RBK753 ($350), from COSTCO, period.
Do I have to trade in old one successfully before buying?
Usually Amazon will allow you to trade in first and get a discount with the understanding that you will send them the trade in afterwards. If you don't trade in your device in a certain time frame they will just charge you for the rest of the amount
Eero pro 6 2 pack is available for $299.00 + taxes.
And 1 pack for $171.00 + taxes. Lowest price ever. I see it first time it has fallen below $183.00 (it's original discount)

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I live in a condo and a three pack is overkill for me. Currently have pro 5 but can only get 400 to 500 out of my 1.2 gig speed service.
Man, I setup an alert on these and am tempted, but then after setting the alert I went read user experiences and it seems users are leaving in droves after the latest several months of forced firmware upgrades. Seems they've had months of issues now and there's no way to not get upgrades. Something about the 6.4 upgrade being bad, they made it to 6.5 and now 6.5.1 but issues remain.
Now I'm unsure, I knew eero was not the fastest but was supposed to be reliable and now it seems that may be slipping too so I'm not sure if I want to jump in with them now.
I am starting to have issues with my current mesh system overheating (also common on eero I read, or very high temps anyway) and I want reliability more than anything.
Unless you have another router you had already out away, I don't see how the trade-in would work for this. Amazon trade-in doesn't retroactively apply this to a purchase. So, you remain without Wifi for a few days while they process the trade-in?
This or the Orbi sale coming up at costco next month? Hmmm
I have the Orbi from Costco for over a year and have never had Wi-Fi issues at all. Never had to reset. Been amazing overall I paid about $430 for my set of 3. Regretted the price (because I'm a slick dealer) but now if this keeps up for another year, I'll be ecstatic. Would buy again

Been hearing great reviews for the ASUS-GT and might take a plunge.
