If you have a cell phone, boy do I have news for you
Not everyone keeps their cell phone attached to their body when home. I love disconnecting once home... But still want to interact with my smart home. This product is great for that purpose

I hope you understand my point, digital privacy isn't really a thing unless you actively take steps to prevent it, which 99% of people don't.
Anyone know if there is a Home Screen that displays time, date and weather forecast? I can't find anything that shows all 3 by default. I don't want to do any swiping.

2nd gen is supposed to have
50% more bass
3 mic array (instead of 2)
google's soli chip for sleep tracking and gesture controls
Thread on board which is supposed to help with controlling some smart home deviceds
I have so many Google homes and minis at home. Can someone convince me why I need this ?
It is just a tool and depends on your needs. Basically good if you need a clock, prefer visual displays when access smart home features or like having a digital picture frame. The main feature gen 2 has over gen 1 is sleep tracking features.
My cell phone does most of these tasks. I'm struggling with why I need one. I like being able to answer your doorbell if you can't get to it or have disabilities, which is nice. My phone tells me if the garage door opened or was left open. I can look up recipes on the cell phone. I can play music on my cell phone or stream to tv or speakers. Just trying to find that reason to get one as they are cheap.
Basically I like it for the ability to have a visual status of timers. It is a nice general clock/alarm clock. IT will change the screen to give a visual response to questions. Will visually display smart home device settings to make changes easier. It is an interesting sleep monitor.

I have an original Google Home speaker (non-mini).
Does anyone know how a Nest Hub (2nd Gen) will compare purely in terms of audio quality to the Home speaker? The screen looks like a nice upgrade, but I don't want audio quality to suffer too much since we use it for that purpose extensively.
We have several. Here's what I would say:
From best to worst sound:
Google Hub Max, Nest Audio, Nest Hub Max, Google Home, Google Home Hub, Google Home Mini
We don't have any Nest Mini or Nest Hub (Gen 2) but imagine they sound better than Gen 1 ones we have.
