Keep in mind the ZG15 5800H 3070 version is around 50$ more and will give you superior gaming performance and better battery life

Keep in mind this has the superior 16:10 aspect ratio, tiny bezels and a webcam. Plus an intel processor which means thunderbolt support. Those are things missing from the Z G15 which also has an eyesore of a bottom bezel.

I like this one but think it needs to be a little cheaper or get a 3070 since I'm looking for gaming, not content creation. Come on Black Friday!

You can bring it down to $1320 with an open box but I doubt the prices will go any lower than this.

The ZG15 is a 100W 3070 and this is a 95W 3060. It's not a significant difference as far as I can tell based on this chart [videocardz.com] (full power 3070 vs 3060 is like a 20% improvement whereas a 90W 3070 vs a 95W 3060 is basically equal).

The better battery life from the AMD processor is a bigger distinction, but so is the thunderbolt of the intel. I'd say they're about equal, with only minor differences

For starters, the 100w 3070 is slightly faster then full power 3060's.. so it's easily ahead at 100w, and gives you that nice 8GB VRAM overhead, something the 3060 doesn't have as novidea loves to gimp VRAM and the 3060 can teeter on some of the newer more intensive games.

And it's a bit thinner and lighter, with much quieter fanspeed(ayyyMD moment)

I bought this one about 2 months back & returned within 15 days.
Reasons for return:
1. Gets hot quiet quickly thanks to Intel chips.
2. Only about 5 hours of battery life even with low intensity usage despite having 90watts battery..
3. The thing is a fingerprint magnet that are not easy to wipe off.

I see that no one mentioned about the heat issue and fan noises yet. But I will put in here so people can easier to decide. This M16 model has a louder fan noise when under stress and also the heat is noticeable compared to the G15. The only plus about this model is the screen and webcam. Anything else is lower compared to G15.

This review says the M16 (100W 3070) is louder but runs a lot cooler than G15 (100W 3080), so maybe it's a settings thing.

I read about it the same thing, however you are compared between the G15 3080 model vs G15 3070 (Bestbuy on sale). So, if you are comparing both models at Bestbuy right now. I still think G15 is the better choice between the two. (Depending on your wants and needs). G15 is cooler, longer battery life, with 3070. M16 runs hotter, but Bigger screen w/ webcam, shorter battery life.

ZG15 is a measly 100W 3070.

While I agree the 3060 in this isnt going to be any better there are better options:

https://slickdeals.net/f/15366778-hp-omen-17t-ck000-17-3-2560x1440-165hz-i7-11800h-rtx-3070-140w-16gb-ddr4-512gb-pcie-ssd-thunderbolt-4-1403-99-ships-12-15-21?src=frontpage&prop=rcmid-e462b0ded58ad3718079178a3fb1fb48

140W 3070, 11800H, and otherwise similar specs. And its $100-$150 cheaper.
