👎 - 11th gen i9 (8c/16t higher clocked i7)
🤮 - 3060 is 80w with +15w boost
👎 - 8gb soldered + 1x open slot
👎- $970 (not even new)

This is way too expensive for the specs. Too hot of a cpu and to underpowered a gpu.

Literally a Legion 5 with a 6800H (newer, cooler, better on battery), 2 ram DDR5 slots, 3060 w/ 140w on front page… for $950 NEW.

Yeah, but it's a Lenovo.

Lenovo has been plagued with wifi issues since i got my first Yoga like 10-15 yrs ago, then I got my wife a Yoga 2 and it too could not handle wifi+power connected (with power connected, wifi constantly disconnects; unplug power and wifi stays connected). Never touching another Lenovo laptop again!
True. My legion 5 pro went back because competitive multiplayer games on it were almost impossible with the intermittent lag spikes. Wasn't a problem on the legion 7i for some reason.

I owned this exact model. It does run loud and hot unless you use a program like Throttlestop to control the tdp on the CPU. Screen absolutely dumps on any Lenovo gaming laptop for color accuracy though

Yeah i had the 21 M16 and as much as i looooved the design, this thing was discharging 17 to 21w with iGPU while browsing. Despite the 90wh battery, simple math equates to 5 hours of SoT at best. If you are actually doing work, and ramp the brightness up a bit than usual, you will be lucky to get 4 hours of SoT lol.

The build quality and hinge are great. It feels more premium than the G14. The keyboard area uses a weird rubbery material. Although it feels very nice, i had marks in it already since day 1.

Other than battery, thermal performance was good for my usage (web dev). The display is one of the best i have used among premium windows laptops. You can easily switch between power profiles (nothing will give you 6 hours of SoT fyi unless you are idling).

I would definitely either go open box g14/g15 over this. And i totally agree, if you want 16 inch gaming laptop, Legion/legion pro are the way to go.

Buy a 15 dollar wifi card and replace the mediatech one that only comes with AMD CPU's and have no problems 🤷
