The shape is identical. Get the 305 and put a AAA with a battery adapter in and be happy. The 305 does feel a bit heavy for gaming, but fine for office use with normal AA. Better sensor on the 305. I have both.

Really like this mouse. Comfortable for use it with a finger-grip style (more so that the Razer mice I use to use, as the buttons can be easily pressed further back.)

May pick one up at this price as a back up.

Happened to have a $5 BB certificate ready, got this mouse for $16.23 with store pickup. Great mouse, no frills (LEDs notwithstanding). Thanks, OP!

I was fortunate to get this mouse for $15 last black Friday.

Even at $20 I can highly recommend.

Buttons on left side can be accidentally pressed until you get used to it. Their default function is browser back and forward buttons but they can be turned off in Logitech G-Hub software.

How does this compare to the Dark Matter by Monoprice which is still $18? My gaming mouse scroll wheel recently broke and those things are about impossible to find in the right size.

have this mouse for a few years. it's a decent mouse, but after a couple years the left click would register double-click with only single click _sometimes_ (many people have the same issue, judging from the posts online) i'm not a heavy gamer either, so longevity wise it might be something to watch out for. (never had other gaming mouse before so idk if it's a widespread issue with other brands too)

I also turned off the LED since the first day(can be done after downloading their software) so can't speak too much about that

Gonna reply to myself and make a note of the 305s poor weight distribution issue with even a lithium AAA installed. Too much weight toward the rear of the mouse. The 203 and G Pro Hero definitely feel better and lighter with their evenly distributed weight even though the weight basically works out to the same thing. Didn't notice it too much until going back to using my G203 for a moment and realizing that it feels much better. Made me sad as I really wanted to love the 305.

In for one. Need a wired mouse for work (lots of thieves so prefer wired over wireless)

Both are really good but shaped very differently. The monoprice one is too big for my small hands. The g203 fits perfect.

Have both, didn't feel a difference. YMMV.

Same. I replaced a set of Microsoft mice that were used for 20+ years (style) with this one and I won't go back now. It's more about the design than anything else for me, but I've been using it for a year and it's going strong (gamer).
