KEF direct used to not charge sales tax depending on the state your reside in so thats one thing to look at.

I'm in the same boat. Been waiting months for these to go on sale and just purchase them yesterday from Best Buy for $350. Figured with supply issues and such they wouldn't go lower. I ended up finding some opened boxed ones from Crutchfield on ebay yesterday for $270. I'm going to return the Best Buy ones now and pocket the $90 savings.

I had these before upgrading to the LS 50 Metas.

These are fantastic for $350. I really liked them.

those are fantastic speakers, and has always been this price around the end of year
I have the Q150 and upgrade to Q350, the -6 db bass response is flatter than Q150 and it is noticeable better than Q150. but Q150 is still a fantastic speaker.

Was there a big difference between these and the Metas? The drivers look nearly identical, though I know the Metas have some new proprietary diffusion system now.

I think you get a lot more clarity, especially at higher volumes from the metas.

A lot also depends on the amp driving them. I've heard the metas with a 8k mcintosh amp and they are incredible.

I run them off a sonos amp like a scrub and they sound better for sure, but nowhere near as good as running them with a much better amp.

Have three Q150's for my front soundstage - really, really like them (much better than the Sony Core series I had before them). Well worth the money at $350 for a pair.

Hands down the best nearfield speakers I've had. I went through so many speakers trying to find a good set for my desktop for gaming/music/movies, nothing compares to these. Pair it with a sub and an amp and you'[re good to go. Because of the Uni-Q Driver, you don't need to fiddle around with positioning so much either

I bought these used off amazon for 400 last week and I asked for the price adjustment and I guess they just don't do those? Pretty stupid. Starting to rethink my Prime subscription.
