I searched and could not find any other post under Verizon or phones, or Costco, so hopefully it is not a repost.

I was in Costco to switch to Verizon and saw a new deal that just started on the 10/28.
If you switch to Verizon and bring your own device, you are eligible for a gift card between $350 and $500.

The promotion runs from 10/28/21 to 12/31/21.

If you get one of the Premium (Do More, Play More or Get More) Unlimited plans, you get the $500 gift card.
If you get one of the cheaper unlimited plans such as the 55+, Just Kids, etc, then you get the $350 gift card.

Each line you bring over is eligible. I brought 4 lines over so I will be getting $2000 in Verizon gift cards. Max of 5 offers per account ($2500)

Each line/IMEI must be active for 45 days. Afterwards, you can take advantage of any promotions to upgrade to a new phone. This would also allow upgrades during the holiday period of mid December.

You must submit the claim within 30 days.

You will receive the gift card within 8 weeks after submitting the claim.

If you do not want to stay with Verizon, you probably could sell the gift card, unless they somehow link it to the account. It is unclear if you can use the gift card for phones/devices, or just for service.

If you want to stay with Verizon, after the 45 days, you can downgrade to a cheaper plan. With 4 lines, my cost would be $45 plus tax for the Play More Unlimited, and my kids would get the Just Kids for $35 plus tax. Assuming 2 months of the higher plans, and then the cheaper plans after that, we will be getting service for free for over 10 months!

If you like your phone, and are bringing over multiple lines, this is an unbelievable deal.

In addition to the $500 promo, I saw this as well on the Verizon site. Not sure if these can be combined together.

Get up to a $1000 Virtual Prepaid Mastercard to help pay off your bill when you switch.
Add a smartphone (retail value over $699.99) with monthly device payments to your cart, then activate on a new smartphone line of service with any Verizon Unlimited plans. You'll get up to $1000 Virtual Prepaid Mastercard per switched line.
After checkout, visit vzw.com/rebate. Upload your final bill and enter required information (including promo code SWITCH21) which will also be emailed to you in a few weeks of purchase. You must submit within 60 days of activation.
Receive your Virtual Prepaid Mastercard per device within 8 weeks.

Where does it say 5 lines maximum? I ported over 8 lines and was expecting $4,000 in giftcards because no where on their webpage did it say a maximum of 5 lines. Thanks!

I did this when I switched to VZW, bought 4 new iPhones on ATT, switched, then used the gift cards VZW sent to pay off ATT, then resold the phones for cash.
if you upgraded your lines on AT&T, did they charge you early termination fees when you left?

Can anyone advise whether the 12 month commitment is required for all the lines switched to Verizon? The 45 day period and 12 month commitments terms are confusing. I would like to bring in 3 lines to Verizon but close one of them after 4 months. Will I be breaking the commitment?

Thank you!

Can someone explain why this isn't getting a lot more up-votes? Is it because there was a better offer over the summer?

For those who didn't see that one, this seems like a great deal to me.

I only need 2 lines, but I'm thinking I could do 5 lines just to knock the monthly rate from around $70 down to $40/mo/line. $40/mo x 5 lines - nurse discount = $180/month for 12 months. That's $2160+fees.

Maybe also get $75/line off from a Cashback site plus this $500/line, that's a total of $2875.

Also, you get Disney+, ESPN, Discovery+, etc, for a year.

Isn't this a no brainer for those looking to switch to Verizon? Basically a year or so worth of free Unlimited Verizon?

What am I missing? I guess one or two months may have to be paid before the gift cards come in, right? What other problems are there?
need to add activation fee as well.. i think it's $35/line with verizon

Don't switch unless you intend to stay with Verizon well past the 12 month mark. There is also a chance you may have to fight for those gift cards. Lots of people had to fight during past deals to get their gift card and lots of people were charged back after cancelling when their commitment ended.

I was one of their victims. Got charged back for 2 lines, then when I complained to the attorney general after getting nowhere with their support they decided to up the charge back to all my lines, 5 in total. I am now stuck sending out dispute letters via certified mail (about $6) every few months as my account gets sold from collection agency to collection agency. Would love to challenge them in court, but that would be too easy. Verizon is truly slime, they pull terms out of their ass to justify their actions.

You will get charged back the giftcard amount for that line on your bill unless you stay 12 months.

Yes, you can do
Have you ported to another carrier from visible and then gone to Verizon and gotten the rebates? Some people are saying it doesn't count as a new customer because you weren't gone for 90 days?

Yes, I ported from visible to tmobile and then moved to Verizon. If you're not sure, I suggest go for new numbers, as BYOD deal is available for new numbers as well.
