Deal is live now. I ordered last night and it said delivery on December 8, but it has already shipped and will be delivered on November 2.

It has very high ratings, but now I'm wondering if I should have waited for the one with the fuel and load gages.

Usually, the more efficient way is to get a Mr Buddy heater and store a bunch of propane - both in the big tanks and the small 1 pound colemans.
I've been looking at generators for this same reason (Houston area) and from my research a space heater for one room uses around 1500w (ridiculous compared to any other appliance). So this would barely cut it for a single room BUT if you went through what I went though, you'd love a single room of heat. Hope this helps.
Man from Texas here... Trying to have something for this winter's blackout don't know much about these would this work for a few heaters inside the house?

I bought a pair of Westinghouse 1800/2200 generators last year from Sam's club. Looks pretty identical to this one. I paid $299 each. They have worked great. I usually only need 1 for most things, but use both with the parallel connector for my RV air conditioner. My only complaint is that they are louder than expected, especially when running full speed for a heavy load. Still much quieter than my old school open frame gennie, but also much louder than a similar Honda. Otherwise, great gennie at this price!

I bought this on Amazon last week for this price (no Sam's membership) and put it through its paces today. I'm super impressed with its fuel efficiency and quietness. I'm using it to "pinch hit" for a large noisy generator during the overnight hours. I bought an adapter and used my existing generator inlet. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q42XPZT

Kind of wild that a 2000W 12V pure sine wave inverter can cost as much as this generator.

same here. Between last winter's blackout and all the electric outages this year, I need something that can at least power a space heater

Yes, definitely. There have been lots of discussions about them on here and reddit and a lot of other places if you want to be informed. Long story short is that they are good to go.

I've definitely used mine indoors and they work very well. And a lot cheaper than buying a generator and a plug in heater.

I didn't even think about a propane heater, which is weird considering I live in Hank Hill Country. I've seen quite a few reviews mentioning using it inside a tent so I'm sure inside an apartment would be ok as long as there's a window cracked
