EDIT: Nevermind. Ignore my questions below. This doesn't work like I thought/hoped it did.

Has anybody used this? With a spring loaded center punch you have to push down a fair amount in order to get it to do it's job. How hard do you have to push down on this and how hard does it hit the ice? Does the blade bend from the impacts?

I got one of these thinking it would be great to break up the ice on my driveway. Used it one time and ended up leaving marks on my concrete when it broke through. Seemed like a good purchase at the time but not really worth it if you have a concrete or paver driveway.

Not to worry my deck is composite, it is a bit wavy though so maybe this will even it out Smilie

Bought it last year. The shock absorber makes this the best ice chopper thing but only draw back is I'm 5'9" and the tool is just a tad bit short in length for my height.
