Most recommend the strips over the play bars because of the quality and range of lighting.
Thanks!

Do you need a bridge and the sync box for this to work or is the sync box all?

Would the 65" light strip look OK on a 70" TV? Seems like it should work. There is no 70" strip.

I believe it needs both he bridge and the sync box. That's what I have. Anyone feel free to correct me.

Does the Sync box pass through HDR/Dolby Vision?

Yes the 65" strip should work on a 70" TV. I have the 75" strip on a 85" TV and it looks great!

Damn that makes it even harder to not purchase…$400 after tax is a hard pill to swallow. Is it worth it in your opinion?

So that's a complicated answer for me as well. Back in the day (lol a few years ago) I had a SUPER COOl Kickstarter item called Dreamscreen. It was literally this product years before this existed (though only 1080p) and it cost just $125! It worked flawlessly (for me at least) and was really amazing. This is four times that cost - that said this also includes dolby vision and hdr10 support and supports multiple sources. Also it's the Philips Hue system. I ordered it for now and will think about it more in the next week or two and just keep it in the box until I decide whether to keep it or not. I've spent a ton of money today getting a Switch OLED, two 14tb drives, Smash Bros, and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and a 4K bluray player.... lol. I think I did all my black friday shopping today (hopefully?).

That may not help you but yeah, great product - just expensive. This is probably one of the best prices you'll find it though.

Nice....I bought the Sync Box and 75 Gradient strip a couple months ago (wish I waited for this deal) for my 85" Qled. I'm looking for something to put on the bottom of the TV and thought the Ambient Gradient strips would be perfect. I'm also considering the Hue Play Bars to place behind my Klipsch floor standing speakers. The Play Bars are also on sale with this deal, or alternatively you can get the 3-pack from Costco right now for $130. Only problem with those is they don't include enough power adapters.
Hey man I wasn't able to get the 20% off the total but they did give me 10% off for 2 through the phone. Saved me about $50

Would anyone know if this works through an AVR? I'd love to use this, but I have my Xbox and Apple TV hooked up to my Yamaha AVR and then the AVR is the only HDMI connected to my TV

This box was such a disappointment for me. Philips should really consider their target market a little more for the price they sell this for. Tons of handshake issues, no HDMI 2.1 support, and no sign of a v2.0 with 8K support for TVs or next Gen PS5 or Xbox consoles made this a quick and unfortunate return for me. True statement about rarely being on sale though. If you have a 4K TV and don't plan to use with a modest AV setup, it may be your cup of tea.

Yes it does. The AVR output goes to the the Sync Box and then the HDMI output from the sync box goes to the TV. Works great for me other than some slight hiccups with Dolby Vision that occur infrequently.

You will lose out on 4K @ 120Hz capabilities as the Sync Box has 2.0 ports. Can do 1440p @ 120Hz or 4K @ 60Hz still (which is fine for 99% of current use cases — not future proof though).

If I have an Apple TV 4K (2021) and JBL 9.1 (only with HDMI in/out/arc) and an LG OLED, what would be the correct order for these things? haha.

Would it be Apple TV -> JBL Soundbar -> Philips Hue Sync -> TV?
