I wish I could book two tickets to one show per week rather than one ticket to three separate shows per week.

So the total cost is: $72.95 (71.95+1). You need to do at least 10 times in 90 days.

Going once a month makes it just about EVEN, going twice a month would make it worth it. My guess is people will go see movies they aren't really interested in just to justify the cost until the releases ramp back up. I assume you'd also need to buy multiples as well unless you're someone that generally goes solo.

And that's 20 times if going on half price Tuesdays. There's 1 movie worth seeing within the next 90 days. This is a fools "deal".
Lol why would you even think to use your stubs A-List on the "Tuesday/matinee/early-bird" discount days? This is for people who want to watch as many movies in IMAX/Dolby, which are a little over $25 after taxes.

What's stopping someone from using a virtual credit card and using only the first month? I assume they can't really do much other than cancel the membership for the remaining months?

Not everyone like movies with CGI and explosions. Some people like Marvel, Fast & Furious, Transformers films while others prefer drama. There are people that go to the movies for a date or night out. Whoever think this is a bad deal then they never experience a Dolby or IMAX auditorium with vibrating leather recliners.

You can still use a Virtual Credit Card service such as those offered by Privacy.com, Citi or CapitalOne to force them to stick to the correct deal

I go on Tuesdays with my wife or a friend and buy their IMAX ticket through my account for $10. I get points and my buddy gets a cheaper ticket.
