Wait, are you telling me that 5HP (5 * 750 watts = 3.75kW (or 31 amps @ 120 volts) isn't doable on a standard 120v outlet?? /s

Have an old shopvac missing all the attachments and cap for the back for blowing is gone for $30 may as well pick this up.

I've had this thing for a year and used it to vacuum out the cars after my kids make a mess in the back. Its held up well for only 30 bucks just make sure you buy the bags aswell

Yes, for the first couple of milliseconds (inrush current). It's the same BS about HP ratings for shop vacs that all the manufacturers use, pioneered by Sears over 60 years ago. Old timers often describe this as "Sears HP".

These are made by the same people who make masterforce for Menards. You can find everything for these. 3 types of cartridge filters and 3 types of vac bags plus all the accessories. Menards has them all. I'm running the high efficient canister and bag together. The vac still has great suction. The filter that comes with this will cause the water float to pop up all the time so plan on buying at least the cheap cartridge filter

Personally at this size, I'd rather spend $20 more to get the 16 gallon Ridgid. Same horsepower, much more space inside, and lifetime warranty. Only downside is it's orange and looks more like an X-Wing pilot than R2D2.

Can you please share the ridged 16 gal for that price, I couldn't find it anywhere.
