My experience has been nothing like yours, but that's how these things go. To each their own. Smilie

I found it to be rich, smooth and well balanced like a typical continental "house-blend" you'd find in most average coffee shops in Germany. Yes there are better. And worse.

"Badly burned"? Seriously? You must have done something by mistake? EEK!

I'm not concerned about it being a scam so much as is this good coffee?

I certainly wouldn't pay $5 for 4 cans of Folgers…heck I wouldn't pay $5 for 30 cans of Folgers, so…anybody got some reviews they wanna share?

Tchibo is indeed a German company, and quite frankly, not really that great. Think of it as Folgers with a badly burned, very bitter taste and a nasty afterburn. Never cared for it. There are far better coffees out there.
Hope those who get the bags will be happy though. Report back Big Grin

Folgers!? They are offering whole bean coffee. If you are someone ordering ground coffee and wondering why your coffee sucks.... you're doing it wrong. Get a cheap $10 spice grinder. It will be way better than ground coffee. If you wanted to be a coffee snob than you invest in a $100+ coffee grinder but a spice grinder will elevate your coffee game just fine. Speaking of fine, don't grind your coffee too fine with the spice grinder. 😉

Currently 9.99 a bag on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Tchibo-R%C...to_dp&th=1 . Worth a shot if you have a extra disposable Reward Visa card.

I ordered when they had their 2.18 lb bag for $9.99. Am enjoying the stuff. As good as some Lavazza I have had recently.
