Just buy one! This watch paired with a Barton elite silicone band looks fantastic! By the band directly from their website and use code "save5". The watch and new band will run you $61 total, and can't be touched for that price!
Ugh, I keep passing these up. I don't need it. I have other stuff similar. But, $43 keeps echoing in my head.
Isn't 46mm gynormous?

Thanks for that! I ended up getting this watch [jcpenney.com] for $65 instead, since it's solar powered. Shipping would have been $8.95, but I added a $10 gift card to get free shipping. But if it wasn't for your post, I wouldn't have even bothered checking out the deals from JCPenney.

Cheaper with the latest JCP deal - 50% off which would bring it under $40 but need to spend $75 to qualify for free shipping.

What can you buy for $10 (the gift card) at JCP as I don't shop there?

No idea, but I figure if it would have been $9 for shipping, I'd spend the extra $1 for a gift card instead and see if I can use it on something someday in the future.

Just got this and put it on. I am 5'9-5'10 around 170lbs and with somewhat smaller wrists. I didn't feel like 46mm was too big. When I got the watch and put it on, I thought it was actually smaller than I originally anticipated, thinking also that 46mm was huge. But it turns out it seemed to be about as big as I would go for. No bigger though.
I agree, it's perfect!

Update after having worn this for a few days:

1) It is even cheaper now on amazon - 38.99 I think. JCPenney has it for 34.99

2) I've decided to return mine. For some odd reason, the band doesn't sit well on my wrist and at one point started to pinch a small nerve. It hurt for like almost a whole day, and at that point I was like hmm OK this one might not be for me. Disappointed because I thought the watch itself was great. It looked great, was a great price, and 46mm was a little big, but in the end it wasn't the size of the watch face itself that caused me to return it, but the band. Completely personal preference / fit. This complaint probably is not a universal gripe - just me.

3) Walmart offered a "Fedex pick up" option to return, which I thought was really interesting. Apparently you could schedule a pick up for the box at your home.

I recommend you change the band, but you returned it. For me I buy a new band for every watch I own. I like a better looking band and one that fits well.
Now that travel is open, I want an old school watch like this to just tell time. My smart watch on vacation will get scratched and will distract me.

I agree with your statement overall / in principle. But the watch band was too wide for me. The funny thing is I liked the watch and the band itself stylistically and functionally, but it just wasn't a good fit for my wrist. And I wasn't about to spend more money on a band than the watch itself? lol. It's kind of like hey I bought a phone for $5 or $10.... not gonna spend $18 on a case? you know, that kind of thing.
