These are going to be some pretty low quality items in terms of materials and craftsmanship.

I understand the importance of shopping smart but this will be one of those occasions where you wind up spending $100 for a jacket that will last 1/4 of duration that a $250 jacket would last.

You're better off keeping an eye out for sales at companies known for above average quality like LL Bean or Eddie Bauer.

I bought Classic Washed Leather Bonneville Jacket for $150 during Black Friday and it arrived this week. First leather jacket. Felt nice to touch and look but heavy and sort of stiff. I have only ever worn usual sporty style of jackets from Columbia, Marmot, North Face etc. Water/wind resistant types.

Is this how leather is? Or is less flexible because it is lower-end end leather and I need to spend more? I want a jacket that I can wear to some evening evening or going for something casual. At those places an Eddie Bauer puffer jacket doesn't look that nice.

Any thoughts or advise to a style challenged person?
